what do you use to listen to music at the gym?

Whatever my gym is playing. Usually during the day they have K-Rock radio... most popular rock station here in the NYC area... towards the night they play techno CDs.. both types of music are just fine with me.

i use a small mp3 player, the cord is long enough for me to put in my pocket. But im always fiddling with it to get it in the right spot for whatever exercise im doing.

at home my stereo
at a gym my mp3 player
if i had my choice i would use one of those pda w/ mp3 players so i could also log my workout on excel. i use my laptop at home now

cd player? tape player? mp3 player?
and, especially, how do you physically use your piece of equipment. I used to use a tape player, but tapes suck and the cord constantly got in the way. I saw some dude with a fanny-pack type of thing, but that might be a little too fruity for me. any suggestions?

:) Agreed, the fanny pack thing is somewhat fruity..

I see a few people in my gym with the mp3 player that is strapped onto their upper arm. Looks really convenient, small, stays out of the way. When I have some $$, I'm definately doing that.

Sometimes I get to play what I want in the gym's CD player. If I am doing doubles or triples, I have a portable CD player that I use to get ready to lift. I also just bought one of those portable mp3 players too.

:)

I don't know, I like them. The fanny packs that people walk around in at the mall or something, thats fruity, but an elastic belt that holds a cd player is fruity? Maybe it just seems normal cause everybody at my gym has one.

Okay, I was picturing the mall-kind, big huge pouch in the front with some crazy design..:)

Elastic belt with a cd player = not fruity at all.
