In the winter.....we are always so bored with not much to do. It is getting to be that time and was hoping for some ideas. We usually have some sort of festival down here on weekends and I spend alot time jet ski riding and salt water fishing....can't do that in the winter. (well, fishing I guess but way to cold out on the water)

Any suggestions?

My wintertime hobbies include....

Cooking, Watching movies, Playing Xbox360, and Snowboarding

I love winter!

Right now its hunting season...then soon snowmobiling, and dont forget ice fishing then skiing.....then there is always chasing women :p

We recently got a big screen tv and I have already been hitting up blockbuster like every tuesday when the new releases come out. I do like playstation2 games (also way cool on big screen that I fought against getting)...we have no snow...like ever!
It gets so damn boring down here during winter. I usually end up doing chores around the house.

I tend to do a clean up winter time... Not fun for many but during the summer i like to spend my time doing other things. I'll being cleaning walls, scrubbing tile and grout, wiping down mouldings and such. Keeps me pretty busy and I stay warm ;)

those don't help me for I am woman...hear me roar.... :chomp:

I like to eat deer meat not much for getting up at crack of dawn to freeze ass off (at like 35 he he) but I live in the south, we have no snow and the ice we get is melted by mid day, so no ice fishing and most of us haven't ever even put on ice skates. Usually just frost on the windows and grass. Can you even imagine that? lol Snowmobiles aren't even sold down here..go figure. But that does sound like lots of fun. I love going 4-wheeling.

and my chasing women, well, I gave up on that some time back ;)

You are female, just go shopping when you get bored like the rest of them do.

What's winter like down in blumpkin land? I live right at the base of the canyons that have some of the best skiing in the world. I snowboard, snowshoe, just get out and take the dog to play in the snow. Or do jack shit and watch tv. Go to the gym. Same as always, it's just colder.

winter here SUCKS! Either its cold and raining or just damn cold. We don't get snow, or any of that frilly pretty shit you city boys get. Most of what we get is wet roads covered with mud from the tractors that are plowing the fields, and yea... have to avoid slipping and sliding all over the place. We get winter rain which sucks ass major!!!!!! I hate the cold and cold with water is miserable.

lol @ "winter" in Louisiana. Damn....

I feel lucky to just have enough time for 3 workouts a week. If I could do that, I'm good. Too much other stuff to do. Mostly count my money. That takes time.

^^^^what she said

But I have always wondered, just because you have snow does that actually mean it is colder? thinking of differences in humidity and different things like that. When I was very small, my dad was in air force out of S. Dakota..I was cold as hell but I don't really think it was THAT much colder.

Snow doesn't really mean colder. There's usually a ton in the mountains and not too much in the valley. In UT we usually have a cold snap in December where it stays in the 20's for a week or two, and then we're mid 30's or above. It sounds wierd, but it's a dry cold. 40 and sunny feels kind of warm. I usually just wear a sweater instead of a coat. I lived in Philly most of my life, and it feels much colder there. It's just damp and raw and windy, and the snow feels all slushy and heavy. If it wasn't for the mormons, this place would be absolutely perfect.

Yes ya a damn softy who tries to be hard but actually betty doesn't even know if you are hard so you seem to be slacking lately. (little mouse told me so) Now, deflate that bitch an get something with a pulse and that asks for a glass of water after... if she doesn't ask for a glass of water, you suck.

Well, we have gotten into the 20's here but see the 30's and 40's most but it can get just down right freakin cold...chilled to the bone. Must be all the nasty rain we get to go with it. It is just nasty down her in the winter. I wish we had mountians, went to tennesee and they took my breath away. We have nothing like that here.

Frisky----in one post you said something like the tallest thing here is the ant pile in your yard.....that was so funny I almost peed my pants. lol

seriously...

the first road trip I took I was prego for my son, went to SC, and up and down hills and such, I swear I was so damn dizzy that (I was driving) I had to pull over and puke. It was like UP and DOWN UP and DOWN... over and over and over.

My ears is what gave me the problems. We just HAD to have one WAY UP in the mountians. They stopped up every single time we had to go up or down from cabin..though didn't regret it. the night view (well, and day view) was more than I could even imagine. Pictures ont he internet just did not do the place justice.
