what do most of guys eat after working out on the gym ?????

SInce I have a McDonald's right in front of my gym I usually go there and eat a good double quarter-pound with fries. :p

Don't know if it makes sense but when bulking I eat large protein, simple carbs (maybe a coke) and when I get home, moderate amount of complex carbs.

During cutting I leave out the simple carbs.

I just finished up a workout at 4:45 PM today and had a 20g whey shake followed up by a 12" turkey sub w/ lettuce and vinegar only. (that means no cheese). Now I want a coke in the worst way.

This is pretty typical for me after my workouts.

well lately I'm haveing about 70 grams of whey and a can of grape juice, then I'll eat meat and potatoes or pasta about an hour later.
 
I eat a big bowl of fat free ice cream and then have 2 scoops of whey protein. They make some damn good flavors of fat free ice cream.
 
Well.........

today i had 60g malto/30 g protein plus.........hour later protein bar 5g fat 2.5 carbs 30 protein, then hour after that (right now), 6 egg omel. (5 white, 1 whole), 2 slices ham, fat free cheese...cooked with pam butter spray. 12 g fat,5 carbs, 45 protein.
 
post workout

i have 2 scoops pro complex
40g malto
5g l-glutimine
1tbl flax

1 hr later

RED MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rice/potato
asparagus
milk(does a body good)
 
manny, they have the 2 quarter pounder for 2.22 deal this week. I ate 2 yesterday immediatly before a back workout.... not a good idea. at least i got 45 min of lifting in before i got sick.
 
Not to rip on anyone if it actually works for them, but some of these post workout meals are fuckin sorry as shit...lol... A hamburger?? Is your name Wilda??? LOL

700cals honey
80grams whey
Glutamine
 
I dont know if some of you who eat solid right after your work out are serious or are just having fun with this post but that is not the way to eat. Post-workout meal should be liquid.

i usually go with 2 myoplexes within 30 mins after workout, then 2 hrs later a can of tuna with a scoop of whey and glutamine.
 
100 grams of dextrose
5 grams of creatine
1 serving of swole
10 grams of glutamine
3 scoops of isomatrix protein.
400 mg's of ala

Why I drink my recovery drink (Hydrosylate + carbs), do a little dance :dance2: and then eat some pussy :kitty: right before bedtime.

Bill Phillips said that eating pussy :kitty: before bedtime has no carbs and will help me keep lean and mean!:bright:

I've been doing almost the same:

400mg ALA
50g whey isolate
80-90g honey (300 cals)

I see you are taking 700 cals worth of honey? this is aound 200g right? How has your recovery with it been? Did you ever try dextrose/malto instead so you could compare?

I usually eat everything I can when I get home, but most of the time its cheeze melt sandwich (baked grilled cheeze) lrg milk with french fries, and all my sups efa's and multivite and lipotropic fat burner ( no stimulants )

before I get to the gym I have a yogurt and 2 apples ( granny smith.... keeps me regular ):freak:
 
I workout at 5:30 in the morning - what is a good breakfast?

I down a 20g Whey Isolate shake and then want more food about 45 min later . . . What is good for breakfast?
 
Protein shake with glutamine immediatly after my workout. An hour after that I usually have either a huge serving of chicken and rice or the cream of my girlfriend :p
 
I usually have 60/g of whey with a little bit of carbs. Then about 1/hr later I have a big meal. Maybe some pasta and chicken or some lean beef and veggies.

Damn this post is getting me hungry..I got to goooooo!!!!!
 
immediately after workout i'll pop a couuple peices of candy for insulin release, followed by some l-glutamine w/ cranberry and protien shake for quick absorbsion. w/in an hour i'll throw down a full meal. contents depend on current goals.

i have a myoplex mass shake with 2.5 cups of nonfat milk... its good for almost 700 calories ~65g protien ~75 carbs followed by a good meal in like 2.5 hours
 
POST WORKOUT SHARING

If I workout with my girlfriend(s) I usually drink a Surge afterwards and let her blow me so she can get the further digested whey protine hydrosylate - get's em big & strong!:D

Word. I worked at a McD's for a while before I snapped and quit in dramatic fashion. I was working out so hard at the time that my 1000+ calorie lunches were not putting fat on my endomorphic ass. Wendy's, Sonic, and Vista are the bomb shit, I dont really have the Jack in the Crizack around here, but I sometimes eat it when I get the chance. Wendy's 99 cent Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers are the real deal.

Anyway, after a workout, I try to take a protein shake, but if I dont have one handy, I'll usually nab a 6" or 12" sub at Subway. I avoid the pop, but I try not to support places involved with Coca-Cola since I'm a Pepsi kinda guy.
