What do BI'S and TRI'S go with?

Whats up all, this is a question that has baffled me all my years of training, I really didnt know what to search for, so I decided to write a thread. EF usually has all the answers, and the members usually agree so hopefully it will be the same with this question. Basically I want to know if it is better to do for example Back/Bi or Back tri.....OR.....Chest/bi or Chest/tri. Some people will say do chest and tri because your tris are already warmed up plus they say its not good to do opposite muscle group, because the following day if you did chest the first day with bi's and you do back the next day your bi's will be sore/overtrained...I hope you guys understand my question.

In any case Im going to start doing 5x5 using NS split which puts bi's and tri's on the same day. But I still want to know the answer, so dont tell me just do arms on the same day please.

Thanks,

i get all my bi and tri work from compound movements ( pullups, bench ) i noticed after a certain point in the bench ( 200+ pounds ) my tris really were getting sore and have gotten a lot bigger without doing any ISO movements. But i lift for power, if your a BB then its a different story and they should be trained on their own day probably???

Going back and rereading i picked up a few extra things. WHden i did work them i had bis/tris on friday. Chest was on monday shoulders wed.

Yeah Im in for body building, and Im planning on doing arms their own seperate days, I used to alternate between chest/bi's and chest/tris but for 90 percent of the time I would do chest/tri's, just because I guess thats what the majority of the guys in my gym do.

Anyone else?

I recently switched to training arms on there own day.. see if i can shock them more, maby get another half inch, I hope !!!!!

:D

I've heard of all the above being used. I personally preferred the chest/tri - back/bi split when I used to have a "chest" day.:D

Try them all. Each for a few months. See which you like or works best for you.
