What are the best X-BOX 360 games to get?

I've decided to stop pussyfutting around and get the 360....I know PS3 is out soon but fuck it, some of the games on the 360 look great...I know Gears of War is regarded as a good one, is Lost Planet their best so far? Reviews are saying it has the best graphics EVER ....opinions please....and which ones should I avoid?

Rainbow 6 Vegas
Call of Duty 3 (if you dont mind the terrible kickback on the guns)

you will not play a better game to date, then rainbow six vegas. it is by far the best game that i have ever played on any console. its a real must. gears of war is not bad. stay away from hitman, godfather, and spinter cell. the first splinter cell was great now i just cannot get in to them.

Bioshock is insane. It's not out till next week, but some Toys R Us stores started selling it early. I think it is a must have.

If you like RPG's then The Elder Scrolls:Oblivion is one of the best ever made. Plus they already have an expansion out. That game will suck your life away.
