What are the best lower back exercises

There is one where you use the cable row with a handle, kneeling past the end of the bench on the ground facing away from the machine, keep your back arched and hold on to the handle between your legs with both hands, bow and sit back up again. Don't pull with your arms at all. Takes some getting used to and focus for isolation. But it is a gooder!!

Arched back good mornings, conventional dead lifts, 45 degree raises with weights or bands, cambered bar good mornings, cambered bar squats, safety bar squats, all that good chit!

A poor lower back can seriouly hinder your squat and deadlift. Always do a few sets of good mornings, back extentions as well.

Stiff legged deadlifts, knees slightly bent at the start and kept like that for entire set. Not STRAIGHT leg deadlifts!

Deadlift & all its variations, Squat & all variations

Reverse hypers, Glute-ham raise, low back raise, pull-thru's, good mornings, seated good mornings, good-morning squat hybrid, physio-ball leg curl.

Just stay away from garbage like cybex & Med-Ex machines & you will be fine!!

Seated Good Mornings. Sounds like an inretesting and effective one. Nice one Scotland!

It is great, got it from Charles Poliquin, hits the low back & Adductors hard!!!. You do it seated with legs wide and try to lower your chest to the bench or floor
