Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below hi all, i slept with a girl about 1 1/2 months ago i got tested after 2 weeks and i was negertive but im gnna have a test at the end of september just to be safe but i was wondering wht u guys think my chances of catching it is, i found out she told me, she has chylmidia (spelling) and i have tested negertive for it so bcoz i havnt got it do u think my chances of hiv are low?? also i used a condom but it popped as soon as it happend i pulled out and stoped but to my horror there was blood on my penis right on the head none on the hole tho i washed the blood straight off, and no she wasnt a virgin lol cheers guys

For chlamydia, if you have tested negative then that's good. But if you have any discharge from your penis or burning sensation when urinating or itching around the opening of the penis in the near future then you will have to inform your physician. Chlamydia can be very serious if it is untreated and you may not show any symptoms but still be infected. The presence of an STD can also increase the risk of acquiring HIV.
HIV antibodies can take from 3 to 6 months to develop (average 25 days) so it is important to get tested. Also, during this time, make sure you do not have sexual relations with anyone else.
Unless you can see things at a micoscopic level, there is no way to say you are at a low risk of getting HIV but the fact that you have been tested and are continuing to get tested is the right step.
If the girl you were with told you afterwards that she had chlamydia then she needs to start acting more responsibly. If she hasn't begun a treatment program then she could end up sterile or with other health concerns.

When people say it takes 3 to 6 months for an accurate test, it is very vague. A normal person with an uncomprimised immune system will have an accurate result after 3 months. Most doctors will tell you that it will be accurate after that with the standard elisa screening. If you have hep c or had chemo or have any other serious disease I would recommend testing out to 6 months.
hi guys hows u all thnx for all the feed back, i went to the clinic and was all clear of chymidia* sp, the thing is i still worried about having hiv i mean iv been tested but that was 2 mnths ago i still gotta wait 1 month which sucks 
im worried bcoz while i been waiting iv had a few things wrng with me, i think this could be bcoz of paranoia i dnt kno
1, 2 weeks after i went with the girl iv started to have a pain in my lung where i breath in and out and theres like this sharp shooting pain, but it seems to get worse in certion postions like sitting down..
2, my penis still seems to feel tingly for no reson at all also i keep gettin pains in my pelvic bone area and for a while i couldnt stop peeing..
3,also when i wake up some moring some of my mucles seem to really hurt like rib muscles and arms muscles
4,for the past to days my poo's been a bit runny not dioria but runny..
im sorry if i sound paranoid but id apperciate all the feedback i can get bcoz i still got to wait another month to get my hiv test done.. thanx

i feel ur pain man, i thought i had aids once when a lump popped up behind my ear and thought it was my nodes, but it was jus a cyst. i also had bloody stool 3 weeks b4. and my current g/f had a purple lesion on her ear, but it was jus irritation from her glasses... the shitty thing about teh aids is that the symptoms are mighty vague and can pass for anyting...i actually cried myself to sleep a few times. hang in there buddy

Yes, hang in there. A few years ago I had unprotected sex in the cubicles of a nightclub in Sydney. Needless to say, I was disgusted with myself soon after and became totally paranoid I had something. I mean, what kind of a slag allows some drunk Brit to shag her inside the Gents of a night-club! The worst part was being inside an STD clinic with every drop out under the sun. Felt like a right loser.
What you have probably have is common illness associated with anything like being run down, slight kidney infection etc. Keep that chin up, try not to worry and everything will be okay. As joker261 said "hang in there"
