COOL concept though, for kids, they can use a ring tone that adults CANNOT hear so they can keep their phones on in class, at the dinner table, etc.

but that's tight; i'm 24 and could hear the 18khz (24 and younger) but nothing higher.

Damn, I'm 31 and could just barely hear the 30 and under ringtone. I feel old. I need a drink.

There are great benefits to not hearing everything though. I don't have to waste energy ignoring people anymore.

hearing differences are low, high, flat, and profound all modified by gender, age, and many othe genetic factors.

do you know the terms, sensitivity and specificity? If not check into it with regards the ringtone.
