Southern accent can be nice, unless it sounds like an inbred southern accent.
NYC accents turn me off. Jersey accents make me wanna puke.

I am not a fan of British accents - on men or women. Don't like heavy NY/NJ accents either. And I am from the South, but HATE southern accents on men. Southern accents are better on females.
I actually like Boston accents on men. Don't know why, but it is cool sounding.
And I like the Canadian accent on men (I've never heard a female Canadian w/ an accent, so can't comment there). I LOVE the way they say 'aboot' and 'oout'. As silly as it seems, I find it sexy.

Regarding Canadian accents~It has been my personal experience that the further East you travel in Canada, the thicker the Canadian accent becomes.
Out here in the West, our accent is very similar to that of many Americans.
