Well, I suppose I was long overdue for a shitty day. Everything was going well up until 3:00. I own a marble and granite business, we do kitchen countertops, vanities, and fireplace surrounds. Anyways, I am doing a job for a builder and I was trying to hook the guy up on a discount price for a really pretty piece that's a reminant out in the slab yard. I really fucked myself here, I brought the guy a sample of the piece and he gave me the 50% deposit on the job. Well, I knew the sq ft of the piece before he had given me the deposit, however not the actual length and width measurement until after I had templated the job about a wk later. So anyways, long story short I find out today the piece I have falls 4" short of what I need. I'm not in the position to eat this thing and order a whole slab of the stuff just for his one top. I left him a message and explained to him I fucked up, I was trying to give him a good deal and did not realize the piece was going to be as big as it was for a vanity. I told him I'd knock off $300 and show him some samples of some other colors I think MIGHT work. Guy already went out and picked out tile for the job and everything. Hopefully he'll understand and work w/ me. On top of all this, my stepdaughter comes home today from her dad's house w/ bruises all over her ass, one is 5" long by 3.5" wide, he hits her w/ a wooden spoon until the spoon breaks in half. Simpley because he didnt think she was eating her breakfast fast enough. Dont know what the fucker's hangup is on his 6 yr old daughter eating like she is in the Marines, but he's had a habit of doing this for awhile. So my wife calls the sherriffs dept, they come out here, Crime scene investigator comes out and takes pics and if he thinks he's coming over tomm. to pick her up it may get ugly. The first couple times it happened I tried to justify it, but now it's getting ridiculous. The fucker hates my wife, and knows he cant do shit to her because I'll beat his pencil neck ass, so I guess he has to take out his anger on his daughter. So back to court we go I guess. Anyways, going to do some cardio and try to get ready for this show, maybe clear my head a little. Anyone else have a bad day? Maybe its worse than mine?
