What a relief!!!

I was expecting a mid sized package yesterday at my box. Well, I checked the tracking number the day before and it said it was delivered to the customer, but in a town about 30mins away from my box?!?!?

I was very nervous about picking it up. So I woke up, skipped breakfast, cleaned house, gave money to a friend for bail...I was expecting the worst case scenario.

I drove to the area. It's a large mall-like parking lot with a huge supermarket, so there could be cops everywhere and I wouldn't spot them. I circled that parking lot for 40 fucking minutes.

I finally parked close by, facing the mailboxe place. As I'm about to cross the road, this white van pulls up right in front of me, passenger side facing me. Two men in the front yell out "Hey!"

I haven't picked up the package yet so I'm not freaking out, but I was already edgy.

The other guy looks at me, smiles and says "You wanna buy a stereo?"

I look in the back of there Van, there are about 10 stereos. I told them I was busy and wasn't interested.

Went in, and I'm relieved that the package was there. But now, I have to walk out with it.

I finally get to my car, throw the package on the backseat, turn around and there is a man holding a wallet at my window. He flips his wallet open. It's a "Sergant" police badge.

He starts yapping and at this point I'm not even listening since I was getting mentally ready not to say a word, thinking about which attorney to call...

Well, it turns out he was bitching because I was parked in a restricted zone, authorized parking only. I apoligized, I'm sorry officer, blah blah blah, and he let me go but only after talking to me for about 5mins about various things since he found me to be very respectful and nice.

I put on my safety belt and drove at 50km/h all the way.

Actually, I was quite surprised at how calm and collected I was. I wasn't scared one bit, I was a robot. It was after the incident that I freaked out thinking of what could happen and if it's all worth it.

Here's something else, the guy I gave the money to disappeared. I have not been able to contact him for 30hours now. His cellphone is off, when I call it goes straight to voicemail. I never left a message. I kept calling and at one point his voicemail was full and after a while it was empty so he did check his messages. He better have one hell of an excuse.

I'm still shaking up about it, look at my post, spelling errors, no punctuation written like it's at the 3rd grade level. It's not bullshit. I lost 1000's of dollars here. I'm in no mood to joke around.

Well remember that if you are arrested for a drug bust, they won't let you get into your car. There will be more than one cop holding a badge...the cop was an initial shock, but it was also relief since that means that there was not tracking device in the package. The guy was picking up his dry cleaning.
 
Holy cow that was a scary experience man...and now i'm starting to worry cause i'm expecting my package for tomorrow or Monday. And the big problem is that the package doesn't fit in my mailbox (it is not UPS or FEDEX) so they will let me a note and send the package to the postal office near to my house...and i will have to go to pick it up!!!....damn i'm producing cortisol right now...:(
 
I've had situations like that before...never that bad but still enough to ruin your morning. I hope everything works out with your "buddy".

Sorry bro, I'm all over the place.

I was expecting this mid sized package, and I had a bad feeling since the tracking was weird

so I cleaned house and gave a friend THOUSANDS of dollars in case I was arrested and needed bail. I don't want to have my family involved.

I picked up the package, got my gear...but the friend who I gave the $ to disappeared.

I read your other post, I only know of one cdn source who uses xpress to US. If it's "s" you shouldn't worry too much.

He just called me and left a vague message after I called his girlfriends, friends, office...

Really dumb guy he calls me from all these places and the # logs on my phone so I just do simple searches and find out everything about these people. I even called his aunt's house. Non threating, just looking for him.
 
I hope yuo get your cash back, that would suck to trust a so called friend and then have them screw you like that.

And if I am translating this correctly, I believe that the Pucker Factor is in reference to how tight your ass was clenched when the cop flashed his badge.

That's exactly the point, I called him an hour after I picked up the package...at this point he doesn't know what happened...his phone is off? For 30 hours! Imagine, you are excited and feeling good that it's over, you call your friend to let him know...and he split with your money! :mad:

He didn't get back to me until I called everybody he knows this morning.

Champion, I got the nattokinase from my friend 40butpumpin, he has more than he needs, I'm sure he'll give you a great price on some bottles. Email me, I have some news about something else btw :)

i had all my used gear amps and about about 30-40 used syringes. am driving below speed limit and a cop was behind me and turned on his lights so i pulled over, and thank god he sped by me and turned onto the highway.....scared the shit out of me......i pitched the gear in a large dumpster and just about passed out in my car in the burger king drive theu

Too bad about your "friend". He doesn't seem like he has anywhere to go though so I have no doubt you will track him down sooner or later. Give him an extra head-but for me :) .
 
Nah, as long as I get my $ back, no point in beating his ass, don't need the cops looking for me or some kind of lawsuit.

Some friends get comfortable with one another, so when they decide to rip you off, they can't imagine you doing anything to them

I think he was planning on buying some gear with the money and then selling it...or using some of it to pay off some bills and then giving me back the rest sort of like a loan. He's always been a fuck up looking to make a quick buck, but I didn't expect this.

dude...your bail connection ripped you off?? Thank freakin god you DIDN'T end up in jail...it would have been no joke while you were rotting waiting for him to bail you out with money he obviously blew on dope to try to make a quick score.

I have had "friends" like this in the past and they freakin ALWAYS rip you off. Loaned one guy $1500 till the end of the month and he was holding $500 of yay I owned and the bastard ripped THAT off and sold it. I was about to have to kill him in front of his damned family, but we worked out a payment arrangement where I had to constantly hound him and eventually got all my money back after a freaking year. Never loan friends money, especially deadbeat ones. Put it into a lawyer retainer; at least THEY will return your phone call if you're in the klink or give it to your mom or something.

Pucker Factor definition: How tight your ass puckers up in a stressful situation usually rated on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being you car seat has been sucked straight up your ass and an ant couldn't find its way in either.

I definetely will. What makes this so bad is I needed him to be ready in case I needed bail. I mean I'm not going to call my family. It would kill my mother.
 
Mom is definately not the person to call from jail! Maybe you should stash bail money somewhere that only a GOOD friend could get at it, and instruct whatever lawyer you call (if, heaven forbid, you ever do find yourself 'detained') to track down the friend for you and inform them that you need the cash once bail had been arranged. A lawyer is the only person I'd be calling from jail.

It's complicated bro, I do have some lawyers over here but it's mostly for my transport business. But I need a friend who can go around and do some things that I can't do if detained, pay my rent, (I have more than 1 rent across Canada) etc, things of that nature...

Andy, if I was local I'd be there in a sec...but if you're ever in deep, I'd put some miles on the ride and take care of it for you if need be. I'm not all that far from one of the locals you pay rent in, after all (less than 1.5 hrs).

Yup, trained at the old hardcore gym PowerFlex. Now I heard it was a fitness gym :confused:
 
Powerflex I never heard of unfortunately. I am in the east end. Started training at the Gold's Gym there a long time ago then went to pro gym and finally saved enough $$ to buy a good home gym :)

PowerFlex had an unbeleivable atmosphere. Just a bunch of huge bodybuilders.

The walls had large pictures of every Mr Olympia and Ms Olympia, (up to Haney and Everson)

When you lifted, you could look up and see there picture. Everytime I did the Leg Press, Lee Haney was starring at me; it was very inspirational.

It was very hard to find and you didn't notice it when driving by. They had 6 benchs, 3 squat racks, db up to 150lbs, and only 4 treadmills and 3 steppers.
