I was walking home in the (rare) nice warm sunshine from the gym today when I heard this middle-aged tourist behind me stop a cab and ask to be taken to the Scottish National Gallery on Princes St. Just to give you an idea, I was at Holyrood Palace (walking past it), which is located a scenic 1/3-1/2 a mile from the Gallery. Via some nice architecture, interetsing tourist shops, and a very pleasant park.

Since he seemed to know where it was, I'm assuming he knew it was a 15-min walk or so. A SLOW 15-min walk. Now, he COULD have had bad back trouble etc, but PLEASE, it's a NICE SUNNY day, just get off that lazy ass and walk!!!!!
Grrrrrrr he had quite a gut on him too. Wonder why????? Some people are going to die of heart attacks before 50 and wonder why that happened....

He was probably just a lazy idiot like most everyone else. It seems like the only time I really see people working out or walking around is right before summer, and they go with the starvation diet(cause thats healthy?). Of course all of us that bust our asses in the gym and diet all year are just "freaks" or maniacs on steroids. Some people respect those that really care about how they look and work hard to improve, but a lot of people just make excuses.

there are plenty of bathrooms in Holyrood Palace. Yes, I agree, he could have had some disability that made it difficult for him (back, leg, etc), but the statistical likelihood is low... he wasn't a senior.
