Weight for my size...

Well, I know I'll probably hear "it depends on how big you want to be or what your goals are" or whatever, but I was just wondering, for my height, which is 6' (i'm 160 lbs or so now) what would be a good weight to aim for? Not TOO high I mean I do want muscle, but again I'm not a bodybuilder or powerlifter or anything... just figure I need s'more muscle on my body....

I figure like 175 or so, not that there's an exact weight but like around what poundage would (for my size) I start to look noticiably bigger?

you should be around 275lbs with under 4% bodyfat, like everyone else on this board. i'd say that 5% is acceptable, but people will be less likely to listen to anything you have to say and spend most their time calling you "fat ass."
also, if you can, consider growing another 6-7 inches so you can catch up with the rest of us

IF your 6 feet, I'd say you should be aruond 200 lbs..
I'm 180-185 ripped at 5'10 and I sure don't look that big in my opinion..

Are you talking in terms of health or in terms of bodybuilding?

For a guy your age, you are at a healthy weight. When I was your age, I was 5'8" tall and 119lbs. Of course, I hadn't started training and I was wrestling at the time. Remember, you still have years to grow so expect to put on pounds in the next few years. If you are 15 and 6 feet tall, I wouldn't be suprised if you reach 6'3" or 6'4". Here are some standards according to Brown (1999) a healthy weight for a man at your height ranges between 140lbs and 177lbs and a young man your age should be consuming at least 3,000 calories per day. Remember, this is for health, but for bodybuilding or strength training its a different story.

If you are looking to bulk up and increase strength, I would say that your ideal weight would range between 190lbs and 210lbs. Of course to achieve this, you need to consume between 3,500 and 4,000 calories per day.

Of course, it truly depends on what you are trying to achieve. You can look great be healthy and strong without gaining ridiculous amounts of pounds. For competitive bodybuilding. . . it is a must to put size on the frame. I hope this helps.

Yeah, I don't wanna bodybuild at all. I just basically want to be noticable next to other people with some good muscle, and then cut down, get ripped or whatever you wanna call it.

well this might sound simple but you will start to look noticeably bigger when you see it in the mirror yourself. a 6', 160 lbs guy like yourself can look totally different than the next 6' 160 lbs guy. for example, i myself am 6'2" and about 190 (a little less) and people often think i'm over 200. not trying to be arrogant or anything, just to give you an example.
but to give you a number, looking at what you said i'd shoot for about 180, and if that doesn't look good to you when you reach it, 'adjust' it accordingly.

size for you depends on what your ultimate goal is... for a bodybuilder I would think around 250lbs but for a fighter who values speed and endurance I would say around 190-220 depending on build, it might seem a lot but with true leg developement you can pack on a good 20lbs easy, not lot many skinny boxers i know;)

Alright, thanks guys. Yes, so I guess sprints are in now, Suston. Leg development is essential for my kicks too, so... onward, to Camelot!..................................

Maybe just my fridge. ^^
