week off

STEP OFF

New member
took a week off. training for bout 4 months straight, i knew i needed one. toughest week of my life, wanted to go to the gym everyday, but forced myself to rest. i raised my calories by 500 (bulking diet).

got back into the gym yesterday. DAMNNNN. i was stronger and had more endurance. bench went up 10 pounds. i felt like i could pump out 15 more sets easy. looking forward to the rest of the week to see how much my other lifts have gone up.

so word of advice. take the week off. your body will thank you.

Hey! Just went back today for my first session after a week off and felt great! Did a bit of cardio last week, but thats it. Feel energised and ready to hit it hard now... :)

funny thing...after my week and a half off last month, I stopped the neurotic calorie counting and have actually lost weight (a good thing in my case). I definitely needed the break...mentally as well as physically. My body was very happy afterwards!

Here, here for a well deserved break!

I definately agree man. More is not always better. As hard as it is to handle that fact, sometimes you just have to do it.
