Watching football games on your computer while you surf

Im using ATI 2.0, sposed to be the best, its pretty awesome, just plug cable into ati box and then it connects to your computer input, couldnt be easier to watch tv on your laptop, plus it has all that tivo stuff and all that crap, pretty cool for less than a hundred bux.

Anyone else got their computer set up to watch tv as well? I can get the ATI Hi definition receiver and turn my laptop into an hdtv too, pretty cool.

Ok, its halftime, I highly recommend it, pretty cool, just need a cable and instead of plugging it into your tv, you plug it into a little box that converts it for the computer and plugs into a computer port.

Whats cool, is that its a video recorder, turns your laptop into a tivo, still capture images, media library software. I have a dvd burner so I can set the recorder up to capture my favorite shows, then I can burn them to a DVD and make a library

Edit, add music, take snippets, make your own videos with clips of tv shows or videos, lots of coool stuff to do. I can make my own highlight reel of football today, pause, rewind, record live tv. For 99$, its pretty cool

seriously you can get one cheap, my house is wifi, just walk with it to any room, in bed, on the couch, take it to work, surf the internet while commuting, go to a coffee shop and surf wirelessly. Make phonecalls, so much more stuff you can do with a laptop, used ones are supercheap, they screw up, just throw em away

alcohol is not my bag although Ive been drinking too much this last month, I think Im going to quit again. I think yesterday was the last day for me for a coupla years, perhaps today

I drink more than I used to. A fair amount more. Probably 2 bottles of wine a month. Usually just a couple of glasses one night and a couple more the next. The dog gets a bit and the rest goes down the sink.

A laptop's not high on my financial priority list at the moment.

yeah, I use the ati 2.0 tv wonder, its easy cuz you dont need to install it, just plug n play.
Not sure about the other ones, I like that you can get one with a remote, but same here, I use my laptop in my bedroom, like if I cant sleep I just turn it on. But I have a tv, just cant find the remote, so grrrrrr.

I set this up, bought it a coupla months ago for the tv recorder onto my harddrive feature, just dont watch tv all that much, and Ive been so busy.
But now, Im going to auto set it for law and order and other cool shows to record.
The only drawback is that it only gets 125 standard cable channels. I have digital cable with hundreds so that sux b/c of premium channels and science channels that I normally would watch.

I got mine from bestbuy, no need to order it, just stop by circuitcity or computer store, its pretty darn popular, got to be a car ride down to the store rather than shipping

I wonder if ebay has them

well you know a cable cord with the little wire in it. You just plug the wire into a box then that box inputs into a usb port, simple, plugnplay. You have a full tv and tivo automatically in your laptop. Watch record pause rewind live tv. Then record favorite shows, burn them on dvd, have your own library of dvds and shit. All for 99$
