Was just told I was fired?

Sounds like a lot of nonsense gossip.
I thought you said your co. never fires anyone?

I believe I said they rarely fire anyone.
We are about 1500 employees and maybe one person a yr gets fired.

I've been there 8 yrs and know of 4 peeps fired in that time.
And believe me, a news of a firing runs through this company like a disease.

I'm vulnerable now and assume they would rather me leave or fire me that wait for me to return. So I did believe that rumor.

Also, I'm firing someone today and I have one more person who I told last week was on her last and final warning and she would be terminated with one more fuck up.

I think it turns drsketch on when you fire people.

Ok, my HR dept just replied to my email saying

"Jennifer, this is a very hurtful rumor and not the truth. If you want to tell me who you heard it from, we will investigate"

I replied "I would rather not, I just wanted to know if this was a rumor or the truth and not get involved in the drama"

This is not the first time this has happened. The last time I was on disability, I heard I was dying of ovarian cancer, that I was faking and the best one, that I had aids

I think peeps who spread rumors should be fired and the woman who told everyone I had aids, was NOT fired, but reprimanded.
This woman went as far as to tell the mailman every detail of my life, well every detail that she assumed of my life
I dealt with her on my own!

I've never EVER EVER once spread a rumor or recycled info I heard about others.What the.......

get this.... i was 6 days away from getting out of the navy and a former friend called the navy legal department and said i was faking my ankle injury as i was about to be discharged on disability. well they held me from getting out in 6 days, took back the 30k they gave me, my account went negative 9k (i paid of all my debts right away) and after 6 months of waiting they said the friend wouldnt come in to sign a statement and the legal department said i didnt do anything wrong. WELL the bank waited long enough and had me arrested. the navy let me go but had to pay me almost 40k this time but took forever to pay me because the pay dept wanted to make sure i was out on a honorable discharge. i spent 1 night in jail and was able to pay them back when i finally got the money.


did i sue him for making false accusations? no but i got him back because i found out he was funneling money from our semi-pro football team and also the school board in the county he worked for. now hes on the run.....

hell, this former friend sounds like a class act..ugh!

no the one I fired today was a brotha (i liked him a lot too, nice guy, great CS skills, just had a bad problem with not showing up or showing up way late)
