Was Bruce Lee on Winny?

I'm talking about the Martial Arts legend Bruce Lee. I was checking out Enter The Dragon and noticed his cuts in the underground fight scene, and although he was mad thin, I dont think I've ever seen that degree of muscularity on someone so skinny, and I've seldom seen anyone with that kind of definition, certainly noone who is natural........your thoughts?

Even he admitted using steroids, though I haven't seen anything that said which ones he was on.

:chomp:

Bruce Lee has never admitted to taking steroids, trust me, he was just ripped up to fuck because he did loads of weights and cardio and was always choreographing for his movies, which sometimes would take him all day.

A former close friend of Bruce's wrote a book about Bruce and Bruce's darker side, saying Bruce used to cheat constantly on his wife, definitely used steroids, ingested marijuana, Bruce said it helped him relax.

For ETD I think Bruce not only used AAS but also diuretics. But who really knows for sure.

you are right about the weed but he did not do steroids, believe what you want but I am telling you he didn't, I haven't just read about every book ever wrote on Lee but I have met soem of his closest friends including Dan Inosanto and Ted Wong, Bruce didn't use steroids, there was stipulation that he was cheating on his wife with the lady that was in the same room as him when he died but it was never confirmed!

Does anyone really think he was on steroids? I mean reality check here. Steroids mainly work by helping to build extra muscle mass.

That was not Bruce Lee's interest. He was into power which comes from speed and strength combined which is why is he was such an explosive martial artist. He trained himself to become explosive and powerful.

Ya he was cut, but he never weighed more than 140lbs when he was! He actually did a traditional bodybuilding style diet and trianing program and bulked up to 165lbs at one point, but he didn;t liek the way it slowed him down, so he dropped the extra muscel mass.

Bruce was ripped, but he didn't have big muscles nor was he all that strong in the way you typically think of strength.

Bruce was asian. Nuff said on that. Bruce ran 5 or more days a week and was a cardio fiend. He lifted 3 days a week generally, but did ab work and martial arts like every day. He was so flippin active. That's why he was ripped.

I highly doubt he ever took steroids, and if he did it probably was winny or primo or something mild.

It was rumored that he smoked herb and also took speed, both which I can believe.

^ thank you ^,
Bruce actually passed out a couple of months before he died and when he was at the hospital they found marijuana in his stomach, they also found this the day he died aswell, people like bruce don't need to take stuff to get ripped, he was just someone who naturally had a low body fat who did weights, believe it or not but someone who does a lot of weights and also has a low body fat will be ripped. To be honest I have only ever seen one asian guy with big muscles and that is Bolo Yeung (who was in enter the dragon and has been in a few movies with Van Damme) but I don't really watch things like UFC or wrestling where there might be others.

Yeah, I read that book on Bruce. "Unsettled Matters", and the dude who wrote it was married to Linda Lee and most likely jealous of Bruce. I dont really care whether or not Bruce ingested hash, had a extra marital affairs or whatever else, because its none of my business. Bruce fans love him because he was the baddest dude on the planet and he revelutionized martial arts. I only asked about the steroids because he looked damn good and I wanted to know what he might have been taking [I love that thin ripped look!] if he were all natural more power to him, but like I said, I dont care either way, and to Tom Bleecker who wrote that book on Lee and made all kinds of accusations, my only response is............."SO WHAT?"

LMFAO!...That is a classic cc.

I think Bruce may have took something like winny, because it would allow him to maintain his speed and flexibility, while increasing his power.
Stanozolol also wouldn't cause any significant weight gain while adhering to a strict diet which bruce practiced.

I can't see any individual training with his voluminous and intense regimens, day in and day out without any performance enhancing assistance,to avoid entering an overtrained state.IMO.
Halotestin would also be a good choice due to it's effect on agression, which many fighters take it for,and it's lack of water retention>weight gain.
Bruce became cutting edge with experimenting with any ergogenic aid which would increase performance by any amount, and I don't think he viewed AAS any differently IMO.

yeah, bruce was fanatical about his training, and back in those days AAS didnt have the negative stigma attached the way they do now. A lot of docs would encourage atheletes to use them. Bruce had some back problems and was believed to be taking cortisol to reduce inflamation, so he *may* have had to take anabolics just to counter act the negative sides..

what you lot forget is that bruce had no desire to be ripped like most people on these boards, the purpose of his diet and training was in fact, like someone said, power (speed combined with strength). I bet if any of you were into something as much as Bruce was into martial arts then looking ripped would be the last of your concerns!

Hey, Bruce Lee was the man! He was the best at what he did, and based on the mindset of most of us on this board, the question of whether he took steroids or not is in no way a negative remark. Thats why we post here, because *we* think steroids are cool. They work to give power.... something that Bruce worked for, so *if* he took them-great! If he didn't need them, well, thats great too.....don't really care either way. He has millions of fans all over the world..... There's no need for anyone to jump to his defense because you'll be just preaching to the chior. We all love Bruce! :)

Ghetto , the key word is winstrol. Ben Johnson, the sprinter who broke the world record in the 100 yard dash I guess 12 years ago, was supposedely caught on winstrol and stripped of a gold medal. Winstrol is a cutting drug
