Lol... too ez.

Before:

* Warik has 10 credits worth of foreign language requirement, plus a high school language requirement.

* Warik has a ridiculous "Arts" credit to complete by means of such educationally meaningful classes as Painting, Sculpting, Creative Writing, and Ballet.

* Warik has exceeded the maximum number of credits allowable before completing the CLAST exam and will be unable to register for Fall semester due to a hold from the Dean's office.

* Some other shit.

After:

* Warik needs to take 1 class to clear out the 10 credits of foreign language requirement, the high school language requirement, AND the arts requirement.

* Warik gets himself exempt from the CLAST exam.

* Warik is told by one of the women in the Dean's office to simply pick up the phone if he still has a hold when it's time to register.

* Some other shit is cleared up too.

Muhahaha.

This is the first time I've left my house and come back in a not-bad mood.

May1010, please make some kind of jokes regarding my detesting of human interaction so that my evening will be even more pleasurable by debating with you in this thread that you cannot delete. =)

hmmm

american universities are very different to ours. whats a CLAST exam? and why should u have to do one for getting credit? still on the plus side doing all this extra shit must make uni a bit more interesting <sigh>.....

good job man..but i have a question all those credits you took in language and arts are being dropped? i dont quite understand...and what school do you go to?

danielson,

CLAST = "College Level Academic Skills Test" Basically an exam to test whether or not I still have some brain activity going on (I'm told it is that easy). Shouldn't the existence of any brain activity have been determined BEFORE I entered the university? Jeez.

I'm told I can't register for more than 60 credits until I've completed the test. Hah.. we'll see about that.

I'd have to agree, though. Today was pretty much the funnest day I've ever had at school. Most of the time it consists of me sitting around listening to people ask stupid questions.

This summer I had to listen to some goof spend TEN MINUTES asking the teacher how to log on to the class's website and print something out. TEN MINUTES! What class? Computer Programming III (3)!!! How the hell did that peon get that far?

Justin,

I never had those credits. They were required credits for some stuff I didn't have yet. I must not have worded it too well. As SG would say, I'll go hang myself now.

I go to FIU. Read my other thread a little lower on the page to learn more. =)

LOL Warik.

I had the same thing happen to me in my UNI.

I was not allowed to take ANY spanish or french language
courses because I would have an "unfair" advantage
over the other students.

I was like WTF?????

Thats what happens when you can speak better spanish
and french than the teacher.......LOL

Godspeed
