War Craft III

PURE EXTRACT

Have you guys seen it? Looks f*cking awesome. That and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project look friggin great. Just wanted to share that with you all. :p :p :p

I was playing WC III Beta before...dropped it about two months ago. It's not that impressive to be honest, or at least it wasn't then. Maybe I'll give it another run when it's released.

Oh and Duke Manhattan sucks ass. Maybe if they actually focused their efforts on making Duke Nukem Forever instead of crap like Manhattan project it would be out by now.

those make an army and destroy the other army games get boring, same thing level after level. Build army. Attack other army. Repeat. Blah.

I have both Malhavoc. Wish I had some time to play them.

Same here ... tried GTA3 for about 10 minutes last week, and saw SOF2 on my buddies pc. Maybe tonight I'll bash some hookers before I go to the gym.

i gotta upgrade my pc soon so i can play Warcraft III, also looking forward to World Of Warcraft.

dont play any of those online persistant rpg's, they suck you right the fuck in. I lost a best friend over it. He's been playing since Nov. 99 and he's left the house to hang out since then a total of about 6 times. His life consists of work and Everquest.

IMHO, play an RPG with a set storyline that will eventually end , and when you complete it, you will feel like you've accomplished something, whereas in one of those MMORPG's, you will never ever finish it. You will always and forever be addicted to getting better shit than the next guy just to be cooler than them. I believe personally that those persitant RPG games are for peple with low self esteem, and some mental disorders who percieve that game as an alternate reality in which they have an opportunity to be revered by the community as a hero and be looked up to and have their ass kissed, whereas they can't do anything, or be anything great in the real world.

thanks for the concern bro. But im currently on a single line isdn, so online rpg isnt something i would want to sit and play for a long time. But dont worry about me, im quite good at controlling myself. For instance i LOVE vikingMUD, its exellent. But havent played it for a year now. Most because it takes to much time.

I know what you mean BI. I got REALLY into Everquest...got myself up to a 60 Halfling Rogue and it just became ridiculous how much time I was investing into the game. At Least I got a good amount of cash from Playerauctions when I left.

Guess I'm just amused easily (Manhattan Project). I just love Duke him and all his smart ass remarks.

Hellz yeah Doom III looks friggin SICK!!! Can't wait!! Anyone hear of a beta that's out yet?

Oh my God. You and I had LITERALLY the exact same experience. My best friend and college roomate was absolutely fucking addicted to those games. My other roomate and I took his Everquest CD and hid it from him and erased it off his computer. He went out and bought another one. Unfortunately, my other roomate eventually got sucked in as well. The two of them would play Asheron's Call about 16 hours a day. They were fucking worthless as human beings. My best friend was much worse. He once played for 38 hours in a 48 hour period. He would sit there and get drunk on Vodka by himself and play that fucking game. He would just sit there in one spot repeatedly shooting this reappearing creature. I would ask what the fuck he was doing and he would reply, "getting experience."

I agree that there is something very unhealthy about these online game worlds. If you're going to play a game... play a game with a fucking point!
