bet on the detroit vs calgary game, its in calgary, playing in calgary is like having 6 guys on the ice for calgary, i want Detroit to win so bad but its just so hard in calgary, there best home team in the league in the west

I could never bet against them, why do you want det to win which is your team?

I want calgary to win and realize they can play well even on the road and hopefully take the momentum for a good run.

ive cheered for the wings for 18 years, im a hardcore wings fan, calgarys fans is what bother me, they hate there team when there losing and love them when there winning, i live in calgary trust me i know, the fans arent dedicated

you know what's funny, is that I HAVE ALWAYS PAINFULLY!!!!! BEEN A DEDICATED FAN.

I too hate the fucking bandwagon hoppers, I was literally crushed when we were on the verge of losing our team.

the funny part is that det was always my second favorite team growing up..

back in their glory days of Steve Yzerman (who wouldn't like this guy)

Sergei federov etc etc.. the list goes on and on.

but I have always loved My flames.. back in the Joe Nuindyke days.. Al McNinuss (sorry I'm destroying thier names I know)

Dougy Gilmore! the hardest part about having always been a calgary fan has been watching us lose all our best players for so many years.. =( /wrist.

but NO I have NEVER been a bandwagon hopper, I've always loved em, even when we were the shits with turek and our retarded coaches like.. craig button..

I started playing hockey when I was about 6-7 ever since then I've been a flames fan first and foremost.

guess it's pretty fucking amazing then there chairmen because my life is fanfuckingtastic. I guess that must be why hockey kicks so much ass, since it's the only sport worth watching imo.

I feel like as long as we play or game like we did on tuesday and hit hard and control the puck we have a good shot.

plus I havent really cheered for the wings since steve yzerman(best fucking captian ever) left and scotty bowman (best fucking coach ever)..

plus I really hate that old fart chris chelios. ;p

No, I'm actually born and raised in Okotoks Alberta, I've been here my entire life, it's pretty much calgary though, I played alot for the oilers, I really think I'm going to get back into playing hockey next season though, I really miss it was one of the best times of my life.

23, Okotoks is an awesome place, good for your brother, he'll really like it here, very peaceful, and houses are going to be worth a shitload when we hit our 26,000 cap.

right on strathmore is a nice place, I've met a couple really nice people from out there, I remember playing hockey against Brooks growing up.. they had some big goons.. but I was a bigger goon.. heh.

Alberta, probably the best place in the world to live ;) one of at least.
 
Nice, well he's doing well to have baught himself a house in okotoks, the prices of houses now are rediculous. -.-

anyhow I should probably go eat some food and maybe workout tonight before the game starts.

glad to know there are some cool people here from southern alberta. (EVEN if you're cheering for those wings ;) )

not like "some" of those annoying eastern canadians making the rest of us look bad.. I really don't even have to mention names or a name at this point.
 
In all honesty I grew up loving hockey and playing it. It's just the Bruins have sucked for SO LONG it's getting really frustrating to watch. The game isn't also played the way it was 10 + yrs ago. Not alot of fighting in todays game.

so true.. the refs are totally starting to control the games and it's pissing me off..

the bruins had a good stretch a while ago.. they had some serious talent.. but they kept getting demolished in the first round of the playoffs. =(

they had some great regular season runs though.

how do you feel about the refs this season Wootoom? I think they are a little to overcontrolling myself, then again I also think they have a conspiracy theory against the flames too.

it was a fix, flames won in six.. etc etc.

especially Magoo.. I swear he hates my hockey team so much.

Around here I go to maybe one or two games per year. Usually the Scrubs... I mean Cubs vs White Sox series. I like the south side(sox) more though. Those are the best one's to go to. Nothing like being drunk at noon for some cross town rivalry.
 
i don't get pissed over sports but that pissed me off. two 5 on 3's. unbelieveable. you have to be horrible not to score on those.

dude, it's calgary at home, that is a sea of red jersey's and fan support even though 80% of them are just wealthy bandwagon hoppers, it's still some great team support.

I wouldn't bet against the flames on saturday, both teams are flying back so the flames don't have to deal with jetlag like they did in game one when they went to motor city.

plus the flames are going in with momentum, but then again they suck ass on the road.

all in all I thought it was a good game for flames fans. ;)

we have upset the wings in the playoffs before, I think we can do it again if we win game 5, cause I know we'll lose game 7.
