Welcome to the boards brother!! Good to see another with the same problem as me. I could easily lose that kind of weight in a year without training and not eating enough.
I lose muscle very fast if I am not eating ALOT consistently and training consistently.
Ive been out of the gym 2 months now due to injury and have already dropped from a peak of 203 (195 off the M1T) to 180lbs. My eating hasnt been near as consistent as it was before and the losses have been adding up. Some years ago when I was working security I went from 180-185lbs muscle to 151lbs. Atleast a 30lb loss. This happened in 2-3 months. So I can relate. Its very difficult for me to make gains and extremely hard to keep them as well. Ive never taken a year lay off, but I have seen others take lay offs and get back into it pretty quickly. When I was down to 150 I just started eating as much as I could. Sometimes 6,000 calories. Writing it down helped me to make sure I was eating enough. Within a few months I got my bodyweight back up, so it wasnt too bad. I also had a lay off of over a month a year ago. I didnt lose weight, I actually gained from eating alot. My arms grew a 1/4 inch but everything else shrunk alot. This was due to only being able to train arms for 2 months, and little else. My chest strength went to shit and back strength as well. It took about 7 months to recover the lost strength and size. But I came back stronger for a little while before reinjuring myself. Just train hard and eat all you can and be CONSISTENT and it should all come back sooner then expected. Even if it takes 8 months thats not so bad. Ive been training 10 years straight and natural, so Im starting to learn more patience. KEEP KILLING THAT SHIT!!
