Nearly 70% of the New Orleans population is black. Then consider that nearly a third of the population is below the poverty line, almost all of them black, and they're the ones who couldn't get out of the city.

So who would you expect to be looting? The only ones left in the city: by and large the blacks.

It's demographics and chance, not some underlying racial trait.

So, are you saying that most of the looters are black? Where are all the white looters, shouldn't they be busing them in so we can achieve a more diverse and colorblind mob of looters? Bring on the meth heads from Phoenix, I read here that they would loot if given the opportunity. We need some affirmative action here. I also have noticed that there seems to be a shortage of black rescuers, probably due to racism among white rescuers. the people that are doing this LIVE this life daily. Most live on battle grounds and fight for survial every day. You can't lump everyone in the same bucket because of race.
