vote best trilogy

that's a hard one. I think from different prospectives any one of these triligies could be number 1 (well maybe not all). From their sheer magnitude, I would have to call a tie with Lord of the Rings, and Star wars.

I'd probably have to go with The Godfather and LOTR. I mean come on, the Godfather is just great writing and acting period. And LOTR is just massive in scope as well as being a good trilogy based on a good book with a great story that's just very bland reading imo.

The TRILOGIES I liked were:

the "godfathers" of course.

"night of the living dead", "dawn of the dead", and "day of the dead"

"enter the ninja",(ninja 1), "revenge of the ninja",(ninja 2), and "ninja 3, the domination".

the first three "halloweens" were great. yes, I liked "Halloween 3" it was a good story, and a good ending, something differant.

lord of the rings
jurassic park
back to the future
godfather
star wars
indiana jones
aliens
friday the 13th
star trek
jaws
rocky (maybe, but I liked 4 more than 3)
mighty ducks
terminator (T2 was the best)
die hard
rambo
austin powers
james bond
the matrix (first was good, the rest wasn't)

I'd actually have to say "Back to the Future" because all three were equally good movies, other trilogies may have had better individual movies but in most alteast one movie falls below the standard of the rest.
In "Back to the Future" they all flow well together, but there isn't the usual boring repetative lines just for the sake of it, also none of the trilogy appear to be just "the Quest for More Money" type followups.

I totally agree.
