get home from work around 5:30 - 6.. eat then head to the gym for 7:00 - 7:30 , come home make food for the next day, eat , shower, then go to bed... gtta love having no personal life. lol

I gotta have a few meals in me before going to the gym, but I try to get in before the "rush hour" crowd...that's usually from about 4:30 to 6 at my gym.

morning. wake up at 5am, roll out of bed and go to the gym. I love starting the say this way and I have always been a morning person. plus by the time I am done with my work day I just want to go home and relax and take care of errands. plus no douche bags in the gym at 5am - well, less douche bags.

Shit I'm out in the middle of the ocean and for my job I really don't do shit, Don't Go Navy!! I have to be up by 7:00 in the morning and I'm usually bored outta my mind by 8 or 9 so that's when I got to the gym, right after that choke down a protein shake and hit the lunch line..

Works out pretty good..

Ryan,

During the week i go early so i can eat all day afterwards... Weekends are usually before my second job..... I never thought i could hit the gym in the morning but it is soo much easier waking up for the gym then waking up for work....

i'm an early afternoon guy also, depends on class times when i'll go but almost always falls into the 1-5 option.

Your testosterone levels are highest in the mornings so it's good to go at least by afternoon. Since I've started lifting earlier I've noticed significant gains rather than going around 4 or 5. That might just be me personally. You'll also raise your metabolism and burn calories throughout the day for yall who are tryin to cut up a bit.

i really think that if you are trying to gain LBM morning workouts are great because you can eat all day afterwards....

Since I started AM workouts I'm actually early for work.
I was tired as shit this morning but I knew that if I went I would feel great all day.
I'm still pumped from 6 this morning.

I do early morning cardio (6AM) and workout three days a week at around 8PM, working hours normally frustrate me working out any earlier than that

Usually midday during my lunch "hour" (more like 90mins in my case). There's no crowd (they all go in the morning or lat afternoon at my gym), it breaks up the work day and allows me to get 3 good meals in before I go.

Used to be all about working out after work. 6-6:30 pm'ish. Sometimes as late as 10pm. Made the change to 5am and I will never go back. I can't think of a better way to start the day and my results have been much better. Not as many socialites either.

Early am 4:30 - 6:00. I love getting up early (am I sick?). I've read that it's best because testosterone levels are highest in the early am - thus 'morning wood'. But who knows, if my schedule permitted otherwise......I'd still probably get up and workout early. The workout jump starts my whole day.

I've asked this as a general question, now it's you're turn to vote.

What timeslot do you USUALLY workout in?

Cardio - Morning : between 8:00-9:00

Weights - Evening : between 18:00-22:00

After work
Around 7-8 pm

I've found I'm more "fresh" when I train in the morning but I feel more testosterone after a hard day's work

That is a hard one for me since I work at night 11pm-7am. So I work out first thing when I wake about 2-3pm or after my eight hours of sleep. So technically speaking it is a early morining workout for me I guess in terms of my schedule. How about any other night workers, what do you do?

5:00 AM - coffee, vits and aspirin downed while on recline bike for 15-30 minutes for warm up.
5:30 AM - First basic exercise for day's body part

Aspirin?
Why dude?

Do you have a tendinitis?

DOes anyone have to be up early (like 5am) and still have enough gas to train after work, say 6pm???? That's my biggest fear..........too tired to go in after work.

i usually work out late morning around 9:30-10:45 AM usually...but my parents are out of town so i have no ride to the gym :nopity: - but my bro came yesterday at night to check up on the house n do his laundry and he took me since i was dying to go at like 9:30 PM...let me tell you..never again...it was crowded as hell...i bumped into like literally 7-8 different people on accident because i was so used to it being mostly empty at 9:30 AM - and i wanted to try elliptical instead of my average treadmill cardio after my lifting but EVERY machine was being used...(there are like 30 elliptical machines) :worried:

i have my best workouts between 5 and 7pm.

i have tried AM but I always feel really low energy.

Well, it depends on my training. Generally, I can only do cardio in the AM, and I function best around 6PM with respect to weightlifting. I've had a bunch of meals, I've been up moving around all day etc......Plus, I do a lot of cleans and snatches, and I find I am just too stiff when I first wake up.....also if I do some incline or bench work there is nobody at the gym who really knows what they're doing in the AM to trust for spots (PT's included,lol).....people just can't keep their hands off, lol.........If I am between training cycles and just lifting easy and having fun with it, I can get away with early mornings......but all in all, I feel much better after fueling up all day. When I am in a serious training cycle, I just can't be a roll out of bed and hit the gym kind of guy.
