Has anyone heard of this or done it. My friend was telling me about it last night basically is a compound exercise done for 10 reps 10 sets. Thoughts opnions on this please and thank you.

the 10 sets of 10 with a compound exercise is pretty good at shocking the body, but i wouldn't do it consistently since you get used to it quickly. i usually throw it in once every couple of months.

if you do it, prepare to be really sore the next day!
 
Ive tried this routine some years ago and it was titled "German Volume Training" in some magazine. I didnt do it for real long. Cant say I got much out of it. It really limits how you hit the muscle since you only get one exercise, and I didnt get real psyched about lifting the same weight for 10 sets of 10 reps. I like to set heavy lifting goals for myself, and a weight Im getting for 10 reps is no longer heavy. I gained most of my bulk over the years from this method:

As years have gone by Ive made changes to it to fit my goals, whether it be strength, size or both. I was able to build some real nice strength off of it though too.

precisely, it's a good way of mixing things up. if you really want to shock a bodypart, try doing 20 sets of 20!

How long did you do it for? I want to keep my strength but go a little more lean for summer. Losing size is not a concern for me losing muscle would be.
 
Don't do it! The routine sucks. The only thing it's good for is improving your strength-endurance.
