A favor some would say.. eh maybe, maybe not. I wonder how many students drop out because of his anger.

Not sure if you could get away with that in the states. We had to sign a waiver for most of our test and certain classes esp the personal one on one with our sensi because of how hard we were pushed and many times would leave with injuries.

The personal classes were the worse, but you knew what you were getting into when you paid for them.

the only time my Sensi showed any anger twords me in class was when I voiced my opinion on the outside of class in front of other students. Never disrepected him but answered him and he didn't like the answer and then asked why so I told him. Well needless to say he had it out for me the whole class.

Well I shot myself in the foot yesterday. I got greedy and spoke to the ex for the first time since the split-up. I asked her if we could have sex. Long story short, she got pissed and probably told older sis what I did.

my friend was a north american pankration champ and he was trained like that,if you cant handle getting hit with a stick you wont take a leg kick from a muay thai guy,or elbows/punches to the back of the head.

he may have come off as a bully but that attitude is required so the students think he is serious and not fucking around

ok, heres my take on this - they probably paid to attend this guys class, and therefore knew what they were getting into. He did seem a bit excessive - I have never been hit with a stick across the face - only the body and legs with a shinai (a bamboo sword), and that was almost weekly.

BTW, it is not kung fu they are doing there - it looks more like a mixed MA/kickboxing seminar.

They do it to desensitize the nerves in the shin area, so you don't feel any pain down there.
