REnted it last night. It was really obvious in its Orwellian type political theme. Generally, I like that sort of thing, but I don't know how I feel about this one. It felt like a cheap rip off of Phantom of the Opera and Zoro to me. At the end it started feeling preachy and naive. Anyone else see it?

I fucking loved it. I though it was really well done. I liked the idea and they storyline was thick and had lots to it. And the action scenes weren't as dominant as I thought htey were going to be but the ones that are in there are fucking awesome.

Hmmmm....half of me liked it. The other half felt like it was derivative and patronizing. I can't decide.

Remember the speech int eh second Matrix movie where the Architect is doing his speech int eh tv-filled room? He used a lot of big words. I think some parts reminded me of that scene but at least there was a purpose to it at times - like V's speech wherein a lot of words started with the letter V. Same dudes wrote both movies. And Mr. Smith plays V.

Well, V's speeches were brilliantly written. That guy is a real wordsmith. I wouldn't disagree a bit with that. Plus, the guy who played V had a WONDERFUL voice. It takes a great voice to pull off a role of someone wearing a mask the entire movie.

I liked the first Matrix, but I didn't like the rest. I don't really recall the speech in the room with the TV's. I guess I will have to watch that one again.

bought it, liked it. dramatic, big, and i didnt understand half of what V was saying. kidna cool that it was Agent Smith from The Matrix who was the voice of V.

The Scene with the Architect is classic cinematic genious

especially the way the Archetect said what he said.

I rented it the other day too. Seemed like it was good, but I was too busy trying to make out to get into it.

it was very involved with alot of undertones which i like, everything had meaning which was meant to be interpreted by the person.

it gave me goose bumps which is good

Agree with Nathan and DieselGuns-Story/plotline kicked ass. Some conclusions/similarities may or may not be drawn (depending on which side of the fence one sits upon) to this story versus the world we live in and where its headed.

Gave me goosebumps as well DG.

it's tough to be original and interesting when you're not original and interesting
KB is hoping for more threads about whether he should hook up with girls who he can't remember because he remains a sexless poser. lol.

just finished watching it. I was entertained, which is all I ask for in a movie. actually the last hour was my favorite parts.

It made Nordstrom's top 10 list.

NORDSTROM WILL SPEAK AND YOU WILL LISTEN. NORDSTROM LIKES TO EAT. NORDSTROM DOES NOT CARE FOR YOUR MONEY OR YOUR SOCIAL STATUS OR YOUR STUPID ORDERED LIVES. NORDSTROM CARES ONLY FOR YOUR CARBOHYDRATES. NORDSTROM MUST FEED.

My favorite film of 2006 thusfar, though I have not seen many. It ranks upon the top tier of all films I've seen, and I've seen many.
