The whole idea is that they're SUPPOSED to protect the innocent over there and "give a fuck if some innocent people are killed."

As well, (I'm guessing) the US military isn't willing to take on the terrorists face to face because of the possibility of the high casualties. Dropping a bomb is so much easier. Nevermind the fact that some innocents are killed and spawn the next generation's terrorists.

Hence the "weak and ignorant" comment. Weak, because they don't want to take it to the terrorists man to man given the high possibility of losses. Ignorant because they fail to realize that innocent deaths will turn into more terrorists.

Personally, I got to feel sorry for US Military seeing how they're in a bad spot. They can't retreat because the leaders want to stay and give contracts to their pet companies. They are getting killed each and every day. They have their pat cut by their leaders. Some people blame the occupation on them and not their leaders. Overall, its a shitty place to be in.

Lot's of civilians died when we firebombed Dresden and Tokyo during WWII. Arguably, those events were part of the overall strategy for victory and played at least a nominal role in that victory.


Today's military executes orders with precision, using far more lethal munitions with greater accuracy than ever before. Without question it is a tragedy that 9 children were killed. They wouldn't have been if 9/11 had never happened. The blood is not on the hands of the US. Or do you think we shouldn't be in Afghanistan?

Later, as US foreign policy became focused on Iraq and unilateral action, you were the first to see the folly in "going it alone". You knew it would be a harmful precedent, and that Iraq didn't really have WMD.
