your thread has great timing 2thick. im at my sleep lab now, and one of my patients tonight is an old army ranger (WWII and Korean conflict old.) His opinion on the whole situation is that from his experience he knows that the public is told what the govt and political officials want us to hear.

an aside to my patriotism of tonight...

it seems like your straddling both sides of the fence here bor. every day i wake up to more "our soldiers are getting killed..." posts, and when instead of sending ground troops in we use aircraft its "US soldiers are baby killers"

To my midwestern patriotic ears (eyes) that sounds (looks) a whole lot better than "seven US soldiers gunned down in an apparent terrorist attack"
