I was trying not to get into it with you because much of those prophecies are derived from the Book of Danielle and transposed to the present. As far as Catholics are concerned they already happened.

I am well aware of that. However I did not know you were Catholic, which is irrelevant, just interesting.

Wether or not the Book of Daniel and the "prophecies" are true, each day it is becoming more obvious that all nations are strongly against Israel and the Western World. It may be a week, it may be 15 years, but without a doubt nuclear weapons will be used.

We NEED Russia as an ally, that'll be the only way to keep China in check if they ever decide to become militarily ambitious.

China and the arab nations will form an alliance, not because they like eachother, but because of common enemies. China is already giving the arab nations all of the technology and weapons they want. They will try to crush Europe first because they are weak. Next they will go after India or Russia. America will become isolationist before having to join the fray. America will try to fight a politically correct war and will lose its will to fight. Israel will be destroyed.

The US/India/Japan with countires like S Korea and Irsael as minor allies.

It seems almost certain at this point that we lack the will to prevent Iran from developing nuclear arms, and once they do, they will eventually overcome their neighbors throughout the Midddle east. Them allied with Russia and China

You're right. We need Japan in the club and I think our relationship with the Brits will remain special too.

No offense to our other European bretheren, but I think they are a bit to saddled with socialism to take place in the next economic explosion. They will grow and survive, but I don't see France, Italy, Spain, etc. etc. driving the world.

I think it dates back to around 1840.

Much of it stems from Christ's reign on earth for a thousand years and the confusion that creates for non Catholics.

To Catholics Christ's reign on earth is represented by the Church. Granted that's a conclusion not all need share.

But not accepting it creates the difficulty that if scripture is to be fulfilled. Christ must come and literally reign for a thousand years (another way of saying a long time as the parlance of the day), before leaving so mankind can be confused by the devil and then the end of the world.

Just strikes me as inane to suggest Christ will come then leave just so people can be tricked by the devil. And it also creates the rational of the Rapture to make scripture fit.

I think it's very probable that John's main inspiration when writing the Book of Revalations was a bottle of something.
