UPS or USPS?

I was hoping some bros could tell me why most suppliers ship international with USPS and not UPS? I would think getting a package here in the states would be safer with a private company like usps? Or is it just the sheer amount of parcels that USPS deals with that makes them the better choice?

USPS doesn't check all packages, UPS checks all for proper documents or looks inside.
I've been trying to tell a few guys - fake packing slips go a long way at customs.

Lucky in Canada:

Gear and BC Bud have 1 thing in common.

Posession for personal use is legal.

They just take the shit and waste my $$$. Good thing I have a nice job.
