Upright rows.....grip?

Hey bros, for those of you who do upright rows for delts/traps.........what grip do you use?? I find it's very stressful on my rotater cuffs.......Any info would be appreciated!
 
This is a strange exercse in it that some people feel pain and some don't. I use shoulder width, overhand grip, although I would suggest not doing them if it is hurting your rotators.
 
Your grip will depend on whether you want to emphasize your delts or your traps. For traps, you want a narrow grip, for delts you want a wide grip(about shoulder width).
 
if it hurts your ... shoulder at all dont do it.. not worth it...
there are plenty of other excersises... you can do... you fuck up your shoulder.. and you out... on most of your upper body work... and may hinder you lower body also..
........ it is hurts dont do it... you can find another way..

I also suggest using an ez-curl bar.
 
pain is usually from wrist pain... changing grip can help this... quite a bit... like msbeverlyhills said... EZ curl bar can help that... i have to go pretty wide myself...
because of my wrists... also regular.. visits to the chiro... keep my wrists from hurting also...
 
Great! Thanks for all the helpful info guys n gals. I'll just stay away from them and concentrate on other exercises. Like most of you said, no reason to damage the shoulder for a specific exercise when there are others to work with.
