am am enlisting into the united states air force ...i went and took my physical and everything was fine except my weight ....i am 216 lbs and my body fat is 22% .....the maximum weight i can be for the air force is 199 lbs and/or 20 percent body fat ....any type of help would be greatly appreciated ...obviously i need to run my nuts off but give me some pointers

When are you going in? Like you said run. Change your diet around.

How are you eating now? Adjust you eating habits. INcrease your activty level. Go to you poolee meetings.

The better shape you can get yourself into before bootcamp the better it will be for you.

I'm not sure about AirForce bootcamp, I heard stories and I will not get into it, :D ,I'm a former Marine, enough said.

how long do you have to lose it? I have to recommend ckd on this one. You'll drop almost 10lbs in water alone.

ckd probably wouldnt be best,if you have a few months live on tuna, chicken breast, lean cuts of beef, egg whites, potatos, some rice and low carb/fat protein shakes and do cardio 5 times a week for 45mins if that dont work yor up shit creek my friend

Alright I'm kinda curious as to how this was posted on my screen name but I think it was one of my friends. I am NOT 22% bodyfat just to clear that up. Must have left myself signed on on his computer.

ooooohhh raaaahhhhh devil dog  do not sweat it too hard unless you are just totally out of shape. My brother went to the air-force (almost disowned him) he said the physical aspect was a cake-walk. When I went into boot for the Marines I was in decent shape but nothing spectacular. I still passed all my qualifying physicals and from what I understand the Air-force shit is not even half as hard. Worst that will happen is they will put you on a diet till your bf% comes into check. In boot it will come into check really damn quick too. go ahead and start running though cause that will be the hardest to qualify for.

what is ckd not familiar with that term ...and i am also curious as to why my shit posted on my friends name ....sorry bro .....u must be like 50% bf though a least

I am going to have to disagree here.

ckd is good and all but I dont think doing all that cardio is possible while on it,I feel like absolute shit when on this diet. now if he was just trying to lose weight for himself then fine ckd,but he needs strength for the military and endurance and I dont feel you can build those on ckd,its a lose fat fast plan.

thats what i am trying to accomplish ....lose fat fast......then once i make weight to get in ..and im all settled and ready to go to boot then i will work on my strength and endurance and stamina

for all around WEIGHT loss, CKD would be superb because it'll drain all the water from you.

As for energy levels on CKD and not having enough energy to do cardio, all I have to say is STFU and take some caffeine, and if you cant belt out a 20-30 minute cardio session in a carb depleted state, then you need to be checked by the doc or drink more water or something.

But, when it comes to straight fat loss, it's all cals in Vs. cals out. Always will be. CKD is just great if you want to look leaner quick due to watershed, or if you have a hard time controlling blood sugar and insulin spikes when eating a diet consisting of carbs.

grrr mother Fing Air Force. .. DODMERB DQed me from a full ride ROTC scholarship because of a rash

Sorry for the side track :D
