PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE MISUSE OF DRUGS LEGISLATION
The purpose of this letter is to draw attention to, and invite comments on, the Government's proposals for controlling eight substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and its associated subordinate legislation. The eight substances are:-
4-Androstene-3,17-dione, 19-Nor-4-Androstene-3,17-dione,
5-Androstene-3,17-diol, 19-Nor-5-Androstene-3,17-diol, Dihydroetorphine,
4-Hydroxy-n-butyric acid (also known as gammahydroxybutyrate or GHB), Remifentanil and Zolpidem
2. These proposals have been prepared in consultation with, and on the advice of, the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs.
