I am doubled over with pain of indegestion and heart burn. I've had diarrhea all day long. I feel like I could throw up at any second, but I haven't actually thrown up. On top of it all, I am having hot and cold flashes.

Plus, it sucks being prego and being able to smell EVERYTHING. I think a mouse or something must have died in the attic or wall space in the office where this computer is. Everytime I come in here now, I can hardly tolerate it. I've looked everywhere for the source of the smell. No one else can smell it except me.

Imay have to go to urgent care center down the road tomorrow if I don't feel better. My dad developed shingles recently and still has it. I'm avoiding him like the plague even though I've already had chickenpox. I just don't want to take any chances.

This pregnancy has been odd. Instead of nausea, I suffer from really painful gas and bouts of diarrhea. UGH.

I may be getting the flu. Coming from Florida to Kentucky in the dead of winter probably hasn't been good for my immune system.

Don't know if this is what you need now , but when your stomach is churning, ginger root will settle it pretty quickly. We used to use it on the scuba charters when people got seasick and forgot to bring / take their dramamine / triptone. It works right away.

You have heartburn/acid reflux? Try some prilosec otc for it. Check with your doc first of course, because I don't know if it's safe to take when preggo, but it helped me out alot.

The nauseated feeling will pass eventually (it should) but the smelling thing wont. You'll be sensitive to smells and tastes throughout your pregnancy. I Havent eaten a bean burrito since 1998 because of this.

Sounds like a typical stomach bug. Forget tums, forget anything to stop the schlitzes. The infection needs to come out.
When Sassy said ginger root, she meant pure ginger (not sugary snaps). Try it, it really works.
Feel better soon....sleep and drink lots of water and it will pass

I don't think it is stomach flu. I've had that before and it is much worse. Plus, I have done this before during this pregnancy. I just have to stay on top of the gas situation and make better food choices (better meaning bland, unfortunately). Today, all I've been able to handle is a grilled cheese sandwich and a few bites of salad. I've otherwise been drinking sprite and these little sugar free vanilla wafer things. I feel better now. =-) Now, I'm just tired.
