I think he was just toying with that tattoo'd guy. He had the ability to pound some serious hurt while the guy was down on the mat and he kept backing off letting him get up.

Total domination of that fight. He knew he was going to win it by decision it was just riding it out without further injury to his arm.

Yeah it was boring because Matt was 100% sure he was going to win before the fight even started. He probably felt it was unfair to use his wrestling against the weaker opponent.

Personally, I would like to see him mash Ed's teeth down his throat.

During the episode, I thought I heard someone say that Matt didn't know any submissions? The onyl weapons he had were his wrestlings skills and a little boxing skills. Due to his arm being so hurt, instead of him not wanting to make the other guy look stupid, I think he couldn't do anything because of the injury. Mike looked like absolute shit. He wouldn't listen to Ken at all.. Deserved to lose

that is typical. my little neighbor is deaf and despite not being able to hear his sense of balance and equilibrium (based on the inner ear) is very astute and heightened much more than anyone of "normal" people. (much like his sense of smell.) Most deaf people after a blow to the head or if they do something like turn a flip on the trampoline or something, they are very unsteady on their feet and feel nausous.

Yeah, they said he didn't know submissions at all, but he won his last fight on a submission. He scored a tap out. According to what was said prior to the fight in discussing his fight record.

I think he was still very sensitive and feeling guilty about how others viewed him and that is why he didn't really rush in and make that dude look like a child in there. He was very "gentlemanly" by allowing him to get up all the time. He could have easily went in and overpowered him on the mat. Everytime it did end up on the mat, he completely dominated the guy. I think Matt knew he was going to win and just decided to ride the fight out and let the judges decide so he wouldn't be the "bad guy" by whipping Mike like a little girl.

Thing is, for once Ken was throwing out some good instructions. His shit made sense and I kept thinking if threw a fast high kick or swift knee he was going to catch Matt unsuspecting. But the dude didn't and the kicks he did throw were half assed and sloppy as hell. Not to mention slow and completely telegraphed. He really did deserve to lose.

Yep Matt could have ended the fight anytime he wanted. The other guy didn't impress me at all actually most of this seasons fighters don't impress me. The best one so far is Bisping and I think he will win the light heavy weight class
