UFC last night... wtf happened to War Machine?

Dude came out and had a complete domination for the first 3 minutes. Then he just gave up the ghost and while not exactly getting pummeled that badly (he stopped most of the elbow strikes and shit), he just lost heart.

Damn I was rooting for him too.

He busted that other guy open, that guy was literally gushing blood everywhere. In some shots, it looked like War Machines tattoos were bleeding because he had some much of that other guys blood on him.

Felt bad for him before the fight talking about he has no one. Kid beat himself up too much pre-fight.

That other guy is ridiculously strong. A lot of people are saying he actually tapped out during that choke but the ref missed it. By then War Machine was totally gassed and couldn't do anything.

I could have swore I saw him do that too. I was like "ok, that is done. wait wtf is happening... he didn't stop it."

After round 2 War Machine was sitting there in anticipation of the third round (which didn't happen) and hitting himself in the head crying "what is wrong with my head?"

but he was practically out on his feet and couldn't have made it to the stool without aid.

I have to watch the fight again to make a better determination. I will say this thought:


Getting the guy's back and locking the choke that early in the fight actually helps you since the guy is not covered in fucking sweat and it makes it harder for him to slide out of shit... Sure, he is fresh thus more likely to fight the choke, but still. For subs, dry is better....
However, that fucking blood is thicker than water and mixed with a lil sweat and you got red lube on ya.
Cutting the guy and having that much blood and sweat gush down his face, could have been a factor in allowing the bottom man to slide in and out of position to prevent the choke.
I think WarMachine blew his load trying to secure that choke that just kept slipping out of reach... He was DONE after that.


I have to see the fight again to really make a better argument. But this is what I think from seeing the fight on TV last night.

There was a study done that shows that a person feeling like they are not part of a group, or accepted into a group, family, friends, not wanted ect ect ect... Will have a higher tolerance for physical pain...

I think that might be his way of getting up for a fight. Felling like he can just die fighting in the cage and nobody would care...


Some fighters have pretty weird pre fight rituals...
