Two year layoff, should I do a cycle to get back?

I haven't touched a weight in 2 years. I'm a former 400 pound bencher and 500 plus squatter in the 181 lb. weight class. I've been beat and battered with injuries over the past few years that eventually lead to stopping all of my workouts. I want to get back into it but I'm so pathetic compared to what I used to be. I've put on a belly and I'm about 20 pounds too heavy and to give you an idea of strength, I struggled to bench 225 for 3 reps last night. This kills my motivation. I'm wondering if a small cycle would help get me back into it. Obviously it's not going to come back all at once, but I thought if I could just get back to a 3/4 of what I was, I would at least be satisfied. I'm getting too old to be slinging heavy iron around anyway. I just want to be respectable. I have some left over gear from a few years back, 300 dbol pills and 15 amps of sustanon. It's not a lot but my tolerance is probably pretty low so it shouldn't take much to give me a boost.

My advice: don't bother. You already said you're too old to be slinging around iron anyway. If that's your attitude there's no way you're going to keep it up. At this point you should be looking to get back into shape but it sounds like you just want to satisfy your ego and see bigger numbers. Once you go off the juice , they'll go down anyway and you'll probably quit at that point. Save yourself the trouble.

Nelson, you're partly right. I'm having motivational issues right now and I was hoping that by being on a cycle, it would force me to get back into a regular program. If I'm going to be using gear, then there's no sense in working out half ass. The other part of me feels like I need to get back into it long enough to get the full benefits of muscle memory. As for my comment on being too old to be slinging around heavy iron, I was just referring to being able to train at the intensity and strength that I did when I was younger. I'm 37 years old and with 3 injuries that required surgery, I have to face the fact that I probably just don't have the ability to bench 400 again. I would just like to get back to being able to do 300. I suspect I'll eventually lose the extra 20 pounds. That's my goal number one for now.

Yeah bud if you having motivational issues I think you need to move past this before juicing... Also I would first start this journey with blood work at the doctor office to see where you are at health wise.

Honestly bro there are some good natty products out there. I just had blood work done. I took 3 days of dermacrine and my natural test levels were double the high range. Muscle memory is pretty amazing I'd just give it some time in the gym and see what happens.

i was in this position.. i got my diet in order and hit the weights for a good 2and a half months.. and my body formed right back to the way i used to look.. (close to it)

so i hit the juice right after..

love my results :)
