Two weeks into it

I am two weeks into my changed life. So far, I have lost 6lbs (as of Friday (Feb 28th). I am fitting into pants that I use to not be able to button up (at least it was very uncomfortable if I could). I am wearing shirts that use to be a tad tight on me.

I took pictures of myself the first day I started and I took some more on Saturday. I did not see a difference in appearance. Hopefully I will within the next few weeks to come.

So far, my schedule consists of only a 2 mile run (speed walk) in the morning (30 minutes after I take 2 Xenadrines). I do work pretty hard through out the day lifting boxes and so fourth. Eat two major meals a day, breakfast and also a late lunch. For breakfast, it has included of at least 5 egg whites and 2 yolks (omelet style), with at least one type of fruit, and also a breakfast bar (Natural Valley). For lunch, which happens at approx 3, I am eating either steaks, chicken breast, and or fish. I normally eat a fairly large quantity, with a large side of veggies.

I have not been able to lift due to my schedule, but I will be starting no later then the next coming week. I will be getting a Weider Pro Club 500 set, in which I will be able to workout on during the morning.

To add, besides the morning jog, I do do all the pushups and some sit ups I can through out the day. I do pushups to where I am unable to do anymore at the end of the day, but what’s funny is that I would think the next morning I’d be sore as hell, but so far, I seem to fully recover from it the next morning. Are my doing something wrong, or is it normal?

Thanks! That's my best friend, Dusty. He's grown now, not nearly as cute :D . He's 5 this year!

I hope I will see a bigger difference in myself when I start to lift!

Bro, I started lifting about 5 years. And to be perfeclty honest, I can't imagine my life without it. I recomend you get a gym membership too.
 
I am very self-conscious about how I look. I am going to start slow and get myself halfway to where I have a little more self-esteem. I have tried gyms, but it has not worked for me because I am to afraid of what people are thinking of me. Sad, but it's a downfall in my personality.

A lot of people are like that at the beginning, as you start going regularly you get stonger, start knowing what to do and eventually make friends, people are there for the same reason, don't be discouraged. Keep up the good progress.
 
Good for you for taking the initial step of making a way of life instead of just a temporary thin!!!
I'm in agreeance with Gymrat to go and get yourself a gym membership. We all start off a little nervous when we first start training but we are all there for the same reason!
Once you get the weight training in there, you're results will come a lot faster. Are you eating six meals a day? If not, try to take in six smaller meals a day rather than three big ones. This will help speed your metabolic rate up naturally.
Again, congratulations on your step to a healthier lifestyle!:)

Sweetie, who cares what people think of u. We are ALL there for the same reason, to reach whatever goals we might have.
I understand where you are coming from as i was really nervous when I first started as I'm sure a lot of people on this board were. But once you get started, you'll realize that it's not the people that are making you feel self-concious, it's yourself. The more confident you become, the more that feeling will fade and you'll actually be pumped to go to the gym everyday! Please let me know if I can help you with anything. :)

Hmmm, let me see. Well, what I do is wake up 5:30 AM and take the Xen, wait approximately 30 minutes and at 6 AM, I head out for my morning jog. I have found that it really helps with my energy (maybe my own mind tricks), I seem to have more desire to go a little further every time I want to stop.

When I get home, I normally wait another 30 minutes before I eat anything. I have found that if I go too long without eating, I will start to feel the jittery that you are talking about. Other then that, I have an energy depression in the middle of the day when it wears off.

I have tried to take it in the afternoon, but since my hours are abnormal, in which I am unable to eat until around 2~3 in the afternoon, I have a hard time sleeping at night.

Other then that, I have read a lot about the Pros and Cons of Xen, I am a little believer of both. So, I am going to let this help me as a start and once I am done with the bottle, I will rely on my own will, in which I am building each day.

Thank you both for the kind words! It is great having some moral support out there. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have made a total 180 degrees change in my life. Before the change, my life consisted of laying in bed and eating anything I wanted. I never really gained much weight over the years, but it just stayed up at 265 ish....with a little fluctuation here and there.

I don’t think that I am in anyway obese (according to all the literature, I am considered as obese), but I am a ways over weight. This change I am making was caused by a few things in my life that made me rethink about a lot of things. I am very determined to do what I need to do to get myself back in healthy form. I am looking for major muscles, but I do want to be healthy.

As for lifting, I will eventually join a gym. I think taking baby steps is something I need in order to get myself prepared for bigger changes.
