Trying to post some pics...

Yeah, and I love it. It is one of the few places I can escape to.

In all fairness about my traps...I'm sure I was flexing them to try to make 'em look good.

This picture was taken after a long layoff so I'm looking forward to posting some pics after another few months of solid lifting.

Nice remember core movements, and some cardio time to time. You got a good build to work with, so relax and take your time building right with good form and solid ethic

I'm 5'-7" and 190 lbs. in the picture. I'm probably closer to 5'-6" unfortunetely.

Here are a few measurements:

Chest: 44"
Waist: 36 - 38" I'm soft.
Neck: 17.5"
Arms: 15.75"
Quads: 26"
Calves: 15.5"

shit that is an awasome set up.....no ventilation down there huh? must stink when you're ripping it up down there.

Thanks for sharing...

No frill, nothing fancy. If you train in that gym...you are there because YOU want it!!! Not for the women, not for the televisions, not to see your friends. Because you want it...!!!

GOD DAMN, THATS A NICE GYM!!!!!!!! how much did all of it cost? i want one

Didn't cost that much.

Olympic Barbell Set with like 300 lbs: $135
Dumbells 5 - 70: $500 (typically 50 cents per pound)
I built the big dumbell rack for around $45
Squat/Bench rack: $250
Hyperextension: $139
Flat bench: $99
Incline bench: $130
Lat pull down: $225
Heavy Bag: $70
Speed Bag: $50
Treadmill: $1200

The treadmill was the only really expensive thing. Everything else paid for itself in two years of not paying a gym membership.

Also, it only take me 30 seconds to go to my gym and 30 seconds to get home from my gym :). Convenience makes it so easy to not miss workouts.

How did you get a picture panoramic like that? Is it the camera? video or snapshot? I have a wide angle lense for my digital camcorder but nothing that wide. that looks great.

I have a Canon PowerShotA20 2.1 Mega Pixel digital still camera I bought over a year ago for $249 but you can probably get a comparable camera today starting at $149.

Anyway, the camera has the panoramic feature built in. You flip the switch take a picture and then the display shows you the right side of the last picture taken. You then use the display to line up roughly the next picture so they match and so on and so on until you are done. You can do side by sides and you can also stack up pictures to make a gigantic picture.

Then the PhotoStitch software magically joins the pictures however you want with perfect seams. It's a pretty cool feature and I think most medium level still digital cameras can do this.

Wow, kool picture taking TRage , thanks for the explanation.

Flex, that`s a pretty ood deal for those dumbells. Union NJ is`nt that far from NYC is it? you could make a day trip . maybe worth it.

cool didn't read the bottom of that page with the locations. I only read the one at the top. Union NJ isn't far at all.

edited- thought you said odd, now I see you meant good -edited

I'm not sure of what weights I would buy that would equal 500lbs

any ideas?

I'm really hoping this finally works. If it doesn't can someone please let me know?

Here is a picture of my basement gym (I used my camera to create a panoramic picture).

And here is a somewhat recent picture of me.

The gym's awesome, but I dunno that there's going to be enough room in that basement for YOU in about six months. You're still a fairly sizable cuss after not having lifted for ages. I expect you're going to blow up rather quickly with that set up.

And whoa...wait. Muscle memory! :D How could I forget that?! It'll be even easier than you might think!

Wow. All that to look forward to, a phatass gym, and a really cool camera to boot ;)

Thats a tough one. What kind ofDumbells to get? If you forego the smaller ones and go with what you do your work sets with... that might help but you don`t really get that much weights even if you started with 50`s. From 50`s to 65`s is already 460 pounds. Damn. it adds up quick. lol

I`m sure you can save money by having the collered dumbells sub 50 then go with the solid ones after that. or maybe go unconventional and skip a sequence like 50`s -60`s - 70`s... and get the 2 1/2 pound magnets for the sides so you can add them at will. Those magnets will double your number of dumbells instantly.

Think about buying 1000 pounds though, If you can. I have the 20`s to 100`s and it`s VERY convenient. It`s for the long haul... only YOU know how long you want to be doing this. good luck

no doubt man....I really wanna set up a good gym in my basement. I might just start investing in buying a set every pay check.
