trying to drop bf% (dextrose?)

Im trying to drop my bf%... is it wise to use dextrose post-workout? Maybe a reduced amount?

You're "supposed" to use dextrose after a workout but nobody really knows why, other than that's what they've read. (By some suplement company that uses dextrose in thie MRP's because it's cheap).

Exercise burns carbs, and that's what you want to do if the goal is to get cut. Why replace them with a simple sugar?

I stopped using dextrose and maltodextrin post workout when I started cutting. Now I just drink chocolate milk mixed with CFM whey isolate and eat 400mg of r-ALA with it. If it weren't for the r-ala I would probably make a low carb drink because I see post workout carbs mainly a tool for bulking. It's hard to maintain a calorie deficit with a normal macronutrient ratio when you're eating a bunch of sugar.

what are you trying to say, that the majority of people on and off this board are a bunch of unintelligent monkeys??? unless i have too much faith in people, i would think that most of us have the knowledge to understand how sugar influences our body...

i would keep the dextrose; dosage being dependent upon total carb intake. one thing you might try would be to consume 20% of carbs in preworkout meal and the other 80% in your post workout meals (ie 40% dextrose immediately after training, the other 40% hour after that)

Honestly,Nelson is correct here. I dont know if he agrees with me on this or not, but I switch to 3/4C oats past workout when cutting and trying to drop BF.

Nelson, I would like to hear what you think is best to use post workout, in your opinion, is there a better alternative to dextrose or simple carbs in general for that matter? I personally use Dextrose post workout weather I am "bulking" or "cuting" and find it works very well. IMO post workout simple carbs are a must and I know many others feel the same.
