Hey all,

I didn't see a "New Members" section, so this will be my first post. Forewarning, I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff. That.. and a lot of questions.

I'm 22 years old. I had my total testosterone tested when I was 19, and it was 16.7 NMOL the range on the paperwork being 9.1 - 51nmol. I think (correct me if I am wrong) 16.7nmol = 481 ng/dl. From what I have read 300-400 ng/dl is low...? Also, does that range of 9.1-51nmol sound right?

Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on having that level of test, at 19, along feeling tired a lot of the time, no drive, and well, I guess on/off depression.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Thanks!!

Oh, out of curiosity, what do test levels go to, or are supposed to go to, when on a cycle?

If it's 300-400 it is not too low. Your test levels vary widely day by day, also, so one reading is not very helpful. If you can go again - in the morning, and get another reading.

I thought I replied to this yesterday already. I definately remember typing the whole thing up. Ok, so I should go and get another test done. This time I am going to ask for total, and free test, anything else you guys recommend?

Also, I saw a link to a graph for testosterone levels by age... but that link does not work, as it was 5 years old. If anyone has a link like that, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks again!!

Oh, also, still just wondering what do test levels go to when on a cycle, or are supposed to go to? Is 10,000 ng/dl not to far out?

It makes no sense for you to have such low levels at your age.
And you are still growing so steroids are not the answer.

You need a full examination by an endo at a major hospital and proper treatment. You do not need to be dabling with steroids.

I am thinking the same thing. Seeing the average test levels for 50-70 year old men being substantially higher than mine is very disheartening, when mine is supposed to be at its prime.

Anyone know what the average test levels for my age group are (I'm 22)? My testosterone test was at age 19 if that makes a difference.

Also, I think I am done growing. I grew just over an inch from 01-06, and I haven't grown since 2006...

Thanks again guys :)

Bump

I got a doctors appointment a week from today. Any advice what to ask for?

I am thinking total + free test, maybe LH...?

Also, any advice on how to prepare would be great. All I know is staying hydrated is important.

Thanks guys

K guys, my results are in:

Beta HCG 0.00 Reference Range 0-5IU/L
Cortisol 627 Reference Range 140-690 nmol/L
Estradiol 75.50 No reference range given...?
Free T4 13.9 Reference Range 9.7-25.7 pmol/L
FSH - follicle stimulating hormone - 1 Reference Range 1-8 IU/L
lh - leutenizing hormone - 4.9 Reference Range 2-12 IU/L
Prolactin 12.8 Reference Range 0-23 ug/L
Testosterone 11.7 Reference Range 9.1 - 55 nmol/L
TSH 1.96 Reference Range .4 - 4.2 mU/L

I appreciate all advice. I asked to get Free Testosterone tested, but I don't see it up there. Unless its codenamed Free T4 or TSH (but I think those are thyroid things.)

Thanks guys.
