TRT & Body Recomp log

Hi All, I've decided to start a new thread with a more appropriate name etc.

I will update this specific post on a weekly basis, and respond to any other posts in newer posts, so that this one can remain clean and provide easy reference moving forward

Starting stats

BF% 34.69% (75.50/40.10) Feel no difference from starting TRT, but muscles do feel fuller

BF% 34.93% (75.35/40.45) No Exercise during week due to illness. Scalp and forehead start to become oily. Slight increase in Libido

BF% 33.70% (77.57/39.43) No Exercise during week due to illness. Acne starts to appear in greater numbers

BF% 34.20% (75.67/39.33) Started exercising this week inspite of illness. Experienced severe DOMS, full recovery from DOMS only 5 days after body group trained

BF% 34.20% (74.89/38.91) One workout this week, took rest of week off due to illness. DOMS not so bad this time round, recovery from DOMS took 3 days. Body comp remains the same, but body weight reduces, probably due to incorrect macro nutrient ratios this week.
Changing workout type to activate all metabolic pathways. Will start slow and light and up the ante from there. Will start this on 14/02/11

BF% 33.45 (76.00/38.2) Going in the right direction, at last, see if I can two weeks of BF% decreases in a row. Managed 3 workouts this week... PS. How can I edit my first post? To keep requoting like this is not doing it for me...

BTW, My appetite is ZERO after training, is this normal?

yes it's normal to lose ur apetite after training sometimes i feel like puking if my workout was intense , means i lost lot of sugars, and ur heart beat is sky high , u'll feel hungry when u cool down it could take a couple of hours , just drink ur protein shake 30 min PWO and maybe some gatorade and u'll be fine.
nice to c some improvement in ur numbers, ur back on track.
 
Hey X, thanks for the info. Yip, figures back on track. Let's see what next weeks figures hold for us, after more workouts and further dieting...Ideally i'd like to get to 1%+ per week BF loss, especially seeing as my T levels should be high normal...

Talk about adaptation response. Monday could only perform 2 sets of Barbell Complexes, Wednesday 3 sets and today (Friday) 5 sets. (Did a Tabata w/o on Tuesday, wanted to do one on Thursday, but I was toast so I rested...) Would like to improve on this next week, will see what happens. Looking to add a serious strength w/o tomorrow, to balance out the metabolic conditioning. At this moment I have realised that metabolic conditioning is probably more important than anything else for the time being. But more than that, the most important thing is to MOVE...We were designed to move, and if we do not use what we have, we will lose it, and that is an indictment on every body that, like myself, let themselves go for whatever reason...Rather try to use the exercise to bridge the problems than tossing the exercise out the window just because you don't feel like it.

Long way to go yet, but thanks for listening to the rambling.

Okay, went out and bought an impedence type BF% measurerererer. Whilst this may in itself not be accurate, at least there will be some consistency in measurements (best out of 3 for an average)

Best thing you can do is buy Lange metal calipers, and do 3-7 site skinfold measurements. Impedance type BF% devices are notoriously inaccurate and should
be avoided.
 
Hey there all.

Sorry I have not posted for a while. Been out of it. Training went through a dip, that is usual for me in the past...Only manage a couple weeks of training then the body gives out.

This may or may not change now, as I am adjusting my regimine following my latest blood work (see post elsewhere)

My Total T is high, SHBG is within range, but free T is well low. E2 sky high. So, I am adding Aromasin Mon, Wed & Friday's @10mg as a starting AI protocol and will take it from there. T Ent dosage has been dropped from 300mg/w to 240 mg/w

My bloodsugar is in range, but insulin is extremely high. So to me this means that at least for the next 8 weeks I have to eliminate all carbs but complex ones, even post workout.

At least I now have a better picture of where I am going to and how to get there.

and btw u'll really feel the difference once u start aromasin, just be patient , u'll reach ur sweet spot soon.

Hey X, nice to hear from you. Here are the labs you asked for. Hold on to your teddy bear, the E2 levels are scary :)

Test results:

Fasting Glucose: 5.5 mmol/L (range 3.3 - 6.0) I want to lower this to about 4...How?
Fasting insulin: 18.3 uU/ml (range 2.7 - 10.4) Bugger, this needs to come down with haste....How?
Thyrotropin: 1.27 (range 0.35 - 4.94) Happy with this
Thyroxine: 11.6 (range 9.0 - 19.0) Happy with this
S-Progesterone 0.3 (range 0.4 - 3.1) Guessing this needs to come up a bit...Dr has prescribed a cream, is this okay?
E2 327 (range 40 - 161) big problem, what do I use to lower this, at what dose, how often?
Total T 55.5 (Greater than 12 is good) Lowering dose of T anyway (Checked up, this is equal to +- 1600 ng/dl)
Free T 1.83 (Greater than 0.23 is good) As above (checked up, this is equal to +-52 ng/dl, still seems to low to me)
SHBG 15.20 (range 11.9 - 55.8) Happy with this
DHEA 4.94 (range 3.20 - 14.11) Doc wants this higher, has prescribed a pill
PSA 2.28 (range 0.0 - 4.0) Happy with this
S-Cortisol 136 (range (am) 101 - 535 (pm) 79 - 477) This needs to come up a bit
