props to vandelman an X, more like CHOICE!!!
choice? dont think so; have you ever spoken to a gay/lesbian person and asked them if they chose to be the way they are? I have; it cant be a choice - look at all the hate, the condemnation from most conservative religions, the legal hassles - no one would choose to have this kind of life. Perhaps you can make the argument for a 'choice' if you mean, did they choose to accept the way they are and not hide/sublimate their existance. The old argument against thinking of this as a choice is " and when did you choose to be str8?"

I just wanted to clarify the rational for this post. I have an high interest in the study of AAS. I also believe that the transexual population should have the choice of HRT. Ethics always play a role in the healthcare studies,,,especially when androgens are administered to women in high doses....with studies in transsexual populations there is a decrease in "ethical concern"(i use that term loosely) because the side effect of virilization is wanted by the patient. These studies could lead to safe HRT practices and in transsexual populations, as well as shed some light through unique findings to implications for androgen administration in men. I agree the heading of my internet link was a little lewd, but that was just to get people to look at the link..it seems like a lot of people post "can i drink winny?", i would like to post evidenced base material so people can understand the mechanism why they can..not just by saying "because it is 17 alpha alkylated" but by provinding literature that " 17 a alkylating provides steric hinderance to the 17 OH( guarding it like an umbrella) and provide a picture of a molecule that is 17 AA and pointing out the C-17" . Over the past 5 years of being on this board i have seen thousands of reposts of similar questions..that i why i love posting studies here,,it provides access where people would not go out of there way to look for AAS info..I See people requoting something that that "peter bigmol, vanmol guy"*(sorry i cant remember his name off the top of my head, the guy that did a webpage on steroid profiles) allot of his stuff is accurate and provides food for thought......i would like to add on to their knowledge...my posts are with good intent...except for the one about greg valentino..out of all the people in the world they had to pick from TLC chose the biggest tool in the world

Not everyone shares your views and opinions (as you have noticed by the little black bombs). But kudos to you for posting up about something that interests you. That is what this board is here for; to gain and share knowledge and personal experience. It is nice to see people who are secure about themselves stand up instead of hiding behind vulgar mouths and muscles.

FTM transexuals' horomone treatments are very similar to bodybuilders - they take test injections usually at HRT levels, and need lots of AI to bring their estrogen levels down to that of a normal male. They have to deal with most of the side effects that guys on a cycle have to deal with - high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high RBC - but not gyno since most have surgery to remove their breasts.

It really is amazing how much of our appearance, behavior, and sense of identity are determined just by the levels of a few chemicals in our bodies.

Good explanation - just one correction. Generally, FTMs don't need to use AI because their reproductive plumbing has been removed, just like the breast tissue. So there's no estrogen production going on. FTM bodybuilders can use test without having to worry about recovery (they're on HRT) and with no prostate concerns either. :)

I'm not gay, but I hate seeing so much negativity towards gay people.... So much is still unknown as of WHY people are gay or not.... They lead a life of ridicule, and harrassment, I don't see ANYONE choosing that lifestyle..... I know many think it's a choice, but how is that possible when most gay people know they were gay since they were 3yrs old or younger? They knew they liked the same sex before they knew what sex was..... Anyway, I feel as AAS users we should respect points of view that are put down in this society.... Don't have to accept them, just respect them, and allow them their right to exist..... Gay people are PEOPLE too....

If you read the top of elitefitness.com it says "the bodybuilding and steroid megasite".....it says nothing about transexuals, therefore i think it has NO business being here.....we are bodybuilders, not transexuals

I didn't think there was a large transexual population on EF, not that it matters either way but the point is if the thread legitametly discusses AAS and its uses, I don't see a problem with it being posted.

I couldn't disagree more....................

Transexuals aren't pills, or workouts, or Test, or DBol...............

They're Human Beings

You will also note that this forum is called the "STEROIDS DISCUSSION FORUM." Nuthin' said about bodybuilders.

I, for one, had never considered the fact that people other than bodybuilders and athletes used gear, and that insight really surprised me.

You might want to ask youself why you are so frightened or offended by such information.

True - I was assuming they haven't had a hysterectomy yet. I believe most FTMs complete their transition surgeries in stages - masectomy then hysterectomy then genital reconstruction. Plus hair removal at some point.
