Training question

Ive been doing a 3 split now, 5 workouts a week (that means i train two of the three days twice each week). Well I want to reduce my training days to three per week for the next 2 months. I want to do a three day split again, with the most possible rest. So that i can really push myself hard on every workout.

My split now is like this:

Chest/shoulders/triceps
Legs
Lats/traps/biceps

So, ofcourse i want a different setup since ive been at this for 3 months.

I was thinking og going down to 4x8 reps (ive been doing 3x12 now)
Ive also thought of a setup

Quads/glutes/chest
Shoulders/triceps/biceps
Hamstring/calves/back

But im worried about beein able to go all out on chest and back when i do legs on the same day (never done that before)

For those that dont know me Ive been working out with weights since 93 or so. Im 6'2, 225 pounds works a personal trainer.

And if a platinum could copy this to the training board i would appriciate it. But dont move it, cuz i want to hear some of the C&C crowds opinion as well.
 
my goals are always toward size.

im not to excited about doing low reps though. i have a background in tendons and joint issues.
 
how about just concentrating on doing the big three? if you squat monday, and do other derivatives of this, bench wed, and deadlifting fri?

here is a split ive tried in the past and its not bad at all,I actually enjoyed it alot

Back/chest
shoulders/calves/arms
legs

not to conventional but I loved doing chest and back on the same day,just do back first imo
 
Ive read planty on HST, but i tried out Dual Factor Hypetrophy training a while back and my body got severly overtrainer. so that wasnt for me.

as to the big three it could work. but i really wanna pound the shit outta my muscles this time around. meaning ill do something i rarely do, and that is do a high amounts of sets per musclegroup.

ive thought about that split Oak, done it before and i love it. But if i wanna do 12 sets or more on each muscle then i dont think having my entire upper body on one day is gonna work.
 
haha, well im going to do 3 workouts a week. so that i can get more rest in, my body is giving me signs that it is needed.
