training for low bf

rez

New member
my training routine looks like this

monday; legs + 30-40mins walking on treadmill

tues; chest+bis+45mins treadmill

wed;1hr walking outside

thurs;abs+back+40mins treadmill

fri;tris+shoulders+30-40mins treadmill

sat; 1hr walking outside.

What u guys think? Will this decrease my bf along with a clean/low-carb-moderate fat diet?

i dont care if its easy or not - i want to lose 5% bf by summer ie 2months
should i be swapping?

If you're already in pretty good shape cardio-wise, I'd recommend some of your cardio sessions be high intensity intervals, such as jog a minute, sprint a minute, etc. never more than 20-30 minutes a session though, no matter how good you get, because you don't want to start burning muscle.

If you haven't done a lot of running though, I wouldn't start with sprints, because it's easy to get injured. Do intervals like walk a minute, jog a minute, etc. If you only want to walk, you can make your intervals like flat for a minute, hilly for a minute, etc. As you get in better shape, keep making your workouts more challenging, either by increasing your interval speeds, treadmill incline, or a combination. Whatever, work into it gradually and keep your body guessing.

If your interest is loosing bodyfat, than your main concern should be paying close attention to your calorie intake. It shouldn't make much of a difference on your weighttraining program.

i agree with syspot
your diet is the most important thing when trying to lose bf
this summer i dropped about 5% by diet and cardio 2 days a week (beer is still my weakness)

i don't know if walking is gonna do it for burning calories though, walking does nothing for me aerobically, but i used to run track in college. try a few different types of cardio - stationary bike, stairmaster, arm bike... they are more intense workouts where you will burn more calories then just walking and cut your workout time down
good luck bro

walkin is a waste of time i set up scaffolding i walk all day all it does is build your toe muscles it dont burn no fuckin fat. if you want killer toes and killer caluses on your toes WALK all day long

well you could cut down your cardio you are doing too much maybe 4 days of running on treadmill or 4 days riding stationary bike. as long as it is at a high intensity
