training differences when on the juice...

rush

New member
I have had good results training pretty much HIT style and more
recently DC "dog crap" method, both are obviously high in intensity and low on volume, I have read that when "on" your
recovery is better and therefore the volume should increase.
I have trained a body part once a week while natural, should
I stick to similiar regimen during the cycle ????

thanks

On cycle i train each bodypart every 7 days, off cycle i train each bodypart every 9 days,my recovery is greatly reduced when off cycle :(

I agree. Off cycle i try to stay with 7 days per body part but i usually have to reduce the weight and change the reps around somewhat. You just have to see what works for you. Your body will talk to you by pain and growth. Dont really try to match what you do when on cycle cause that will only bring you down.

why wait 7 days to train again when your body now rejuvenates at double the usual speed of recovery?

i give no more than 2-3 days rest and hit that muscle again.

From what I understand:

Muscle mass is proportional to weight lifted, therefore, you do not want to decrease weight when "off".

However, since your recovery is limited when off, you need to vary volume to compensate. This is what I am currently using when on:

- 3x/week, full body routine (i.e. train each body part every 2 days)
- all weeks throughout cycle increase weight/reps as possible
- last 2-3 weeks of cycle, maintain weight and increase reps only
- Post cycle, maintain weight, but decrease reps and or volume (i.e. 3x/week split routine, training one body part every 7 days)

I train everything twice a week when "ON". Everything once a week when "OFF". My workouts are also alot less intense when I'm not on the sauce :(

That's the thing...of course your not gona be as strong as when your on and you might not do as many reps...but you still should go into the gym like your going to war even when you're off. That's one of the big keys for success.

BB has alot to do with the way you approach it. Always have a positive attitude. It's a mind game alot. Work as hard when off and that's when you're gonna see the results you've been waiting for

That's just one of the things that's in the pyramid. It's a very complicated puzzle if you want the maximum developpement...a 24/7 thing
