Training days while on gear

oldandconfused said:
What's the concensus on how many days to train when your on a cycle.
3,4,5 or 6 days a week for best results.

there is no consensus. though if you are on gear and lifting 3 days a week only you might as well give up. post your stats and what you want to accomplish. generally i lift 4 days a week when off and 5-6 while on because im able to recover much faster while on.

Stats.
height 5'7"
Weight 240 lbs
BF caliper test 12.5%

1st cycle

want to compete in masters next spring

cycle (2 weeks into cycle)
deca 400mg weekly ( 14 week)
d-bol 40mg day 5weeks
turnabol 30mg day (5 weeks)
androl 50 mg daily (2 weeks) with 40mb nolvadex
ethenate 300 mg weekly every third day)
pct to follow

Just running to androl after the Dianabol - methandrostenolone - not during.

I have been trying to do a 6 day on one off but I'm going to have to
try a 3 and 1 because I'm just drained after the 3rd day.

Do you guys feel you can recover enough with a 6 day routine?

any ideas on a good pct to follow?

why use 3 orals that are essentially the same?

That's your first cycle? Over kill to me and what your using is odd.

Back to question. Yes you can over train on gear. If your doing something like squats till your eyes pop out of your head then twice a week for those is probably a bad idea. Same with dead lifts. If your going to do 6 days, each body part twice a week, you need to go light the first 3 days then heavy the last 3. At least what I would do.

If I'm going to do something it's not going to be second rate. I want to make sure that I will maximize my cycle. Yes maybe it is a bit overkill.

As per training I train like an insane man always have. Everytime I get into the gym and say well I'll take it easy today it never works out that way.
I usually only train 3 or 4 times a week.

It's not that I do excessive sets just everyone but first 3 sets to failure or close to it(squats usually close but I don't use a spot so failure is not an option) and heavy as I can handle so by the 3rd day in a row I'm f**n shagged.

So going to a 6 day schedule overtraining is a major concern of mine but I don't want to waste all growth potential while using gear.

I am using turn, dbol and androl to get a coctail effect.
every article I've read on each say that they will effect the body differently and many articles mention using androl for 2 weeks as a follow up to dbol.

4 days a week on or off. 45 minutes per training session. sometimes i drop to 3 per week. HIGH INTENSITY, low volume. one of the biggest mistake ppl make on the juice " i did legs yesterday and i aint sore !!! i am goin back in today" accelerated muscle recovery does not necessarily equate to central nervous system recovery and low cortisol levels. i guess some genetically gifted individuals will be exempt from this, but not me.

Are you going to compete in bodybuilding or powerlifting?
For powerlifting I recomend 3 days per week.
For bodybuilding I recomend 3 days per week with weights, and another 3 for cardio - first thing in the morning on a empty stomach.
Layinback is correct in his statement regarding the recovery of your central nervous system. If you over train your CNS you will get sick! I know I do everytime, plus it's the only time on gear that I get pisssed off and moody.

yep the 2 good bros above have explained what i meant by saying you CAN overtrain on roids.

BTW, what are your stats and what's your lifting history been like? what about some numbers on the big lifts? why are you doing a first cycle of 3 orals, why not a test only cycle?

I was going to post a similar thread like this one. I started a cycle a couple of days ago and of course recovery seems to be immediate. Part of me wants to make the most of the cycle and do LOTS of volume (extra sets, more exercises, more cardio), but I also sense that my body can only handle so much even though my muscles are "full steam ahead." How will my connective tissue hold up at the end of the cycle? When in doubt use caution...I guess.

Okay as I quoted earlier.
47 yrs old
241 this morning
12.5 body fat (calipers)

bench 300 lbs
squats don't know max but 507 1/2 x 4reps
leg press 950lbs
deads 500 lbs for 2 to 4 depending on day of week.
military press max unknown 5 to 6 reps 215
curls 135 x 4's

as you can see my bench is weak, I need to get it up to compete in a masters competition, Chest is lagging. I will post pictures at the end of the cycle to see how everyone feels about how I'm coming along but not until then.

have very androgenic system already so the need for anabolic is high.

3 orals why. many forums and white paper have discussed using a couple orals within a cycle.

I would look at it like this man. For me I train one bodypart a day spread over 5 days with sat and sun being rest days. I would say if I was to be on gear I could probably train every bodypart x2 a week if i kept eating right and getting plenty of rest. Maybe im wrong but it woul djust make sense with the best recovery you can get that you could double your training? I train like an insane man too but I dont go overboard. But thats how I would look at it.

I've decided to do a 3 on 1 off and 2 on 1 off.
1 major body part will get trained only once in that week so I will maximize the routine on that day.
