Ive interviewed hundreds of people over the last 15 yrs and I honestly do not do the cliche "where do you see yourself in 5 yrs" interview questions. they're just stupid. I ask question geared more towards the specific skill set necessary to do the job I'm hiring for. For instance, right now I'm hiring 9 Customer Service reps for a call center I'm opening up in WI. I ask questions like "tell me about some of the challenges you encountered in your last CS position" then they always say "well, sometimes there were difficult or dissatisfied callers" and then I follow with, "when you encounter a difficult caller, what type of CS or soft skill would you employ to handle and get through that call?" then after they answer (I'm looking for things like be patient with the caller, utilize active listening skills, assure the caller we will provide them with assistance to resolve their problem etc) then I follow with "and when you experience those difficult calls, how does that effect you on a personal level once the call is over with?" I'm looking for how people might let the difficult caller get to them or how they may be vulnerable to taking it personally, which is a no-no in a CS setting.the_alcatraz said:hook me up with the most asked interview questions
