Some chick i know was taking this stuff... well she smoked weed and started tripping HARD. Anyone konw the lowdown on this stuff? i think its either a weight loss or anti-depressant drug. Anyone help?

Its a psychiatric medication. I can't remember if its an anti-depressant or anti-psychotic.
Only reason this rings a bell is that I had a patient taking it along with a shitload of other meds and she had shizo-affective disorder. My 2 cents for what its worth.
I wouldn't bother with it.

topomax is an anti-siezure drug used to treat siezures and also long term pain management. it can cause patioents to feel dizz and forgetful, and interfere with thought processes. It is also known to supress appetite and cause wieght loss....

it is active on the GABA receptor, blocks sodium channels, depolarizes neurons.

other side effects include-psycho motor slowing, word finding difficulties, dizziness, somnolence.


mixing with weed is porobabl not a great idea....

well... she doesn't have much to start with... and i just found out she was also on zoloft... so basically if you guys want to have a gnarly trip, take a zoloft, a topamax, and smoke a bowl... lol

when she was trippin off this stuff she thought everyone around her was fake... i was like wutsup *** and she's like go away you're a manequin... lol fun sh*t

..... Does anyone know how effective of a weight loss drug this stuff is? I know someone who is taking this stuff (not perscribed) soley as a weight loss drug. She just started and was wondering what to expect.
